Before forming Fire Bomber, Ray was attached to the combat squadron "Pink Pecker" in his Unified Forces days, and they developed furious battles with their Zentrādi remnant opponents.

Caption: The death of colleague Stephan, who was also a comrade in arms and a close friend, left a deep wound in Ray's mind, and it came to cause him to leave the armed forces.
