In the love triangle between Aruto, Ranka and Sheryl, the occasions that Ranka and Sheryl were mutually aware of each other is potent. When Aruto visits hospitalized Sheryl with Ranka, Aruto was bewildered that the two would press on him with song. In contrast to Sheryl, who knew and embraced an affinity for the kindness and faith that ordinary Aruto held within himself, the difference was that Ranka was wracking her brains over their relationship from the time they met. Sheryl seems to have felt the meaning of that difference.

Aruto's home is known as the originator of an Enka technique called the Saotome School. Before leaving home, Aruto himself appeared on the stage as an Oyama*, and his qualities were seen through by senior apprentice Yasaburou. For that reason, Yasaburou repeatedly indicated the significance of Aruto returning to his home.** Was it his talent as an actor, or did Aruto have an aspect in him where he unconsciously played the role that the situation or people expected from him? Not knowing if his actions were based on that aspect or his own will seems to have anguished Aruto.
