Related Matter: The Legend Of Arisu That Is Handed Down In The Marduk
As might be expected of the Marduk, who were endowed with an overwhelming combat capability and power of song, it was surely easy for them to do such things as destroy the Earth. And yet the Marduk's Commander-In-Chief Ingusu showed hesitation concerning the record of the apocalypse that was bequeathed by their greatest prophet Dainasu.* "He who comes from the blue one isn't thine emissary who cometh to give salvation - he once more confronts thine, and annihilates all. His name, thou calls him 'Arisu'." Ingusu considered that the Earth may be Arisu's star from that prediction, and together with dispatching Fefu, he personally voluntarily watchfully waited for a short while.

* Translator's note: originally was: "Nevertheless, Ingusu showed hesitation concerning (...)."

Caption: From the remark "it'd be foolish to do such things as smash a planet like this, but...", one can surmise that even Ingusu couldn't ignore the legend.

Caption: Ishtar, who saw the figure of the Macross, increased the authenticity of the legend, as she became convinced that it was "the Ship Of Alice", and seems to have hesitated in the overall invasion.

Caption: However, Ingusu became exasperated by the Earth's resistance to the bitter end, and in the end, he personally proceeded toward wiping out the planet of Arisu.
