Commentary
The episode gives a sense of the bonds between Basara and Mylene through song. Although Basara usually treats Mylene like a child, its understood from the episode that he thinks she is important as a companion, through such things as when he sets out to search for her as soon as he knew that she was kidnapped. Also, the episode also indicates that, in addition to the words of Basara, who believes that Mylene will surely respond if his singing reaches her when they are searching, that he recognizes her not only as a member of Fire Bomber, but also as a singing person.
On the other side of the depiction of the story of such bonds, Geperunicchi's plan switches to the second stage, and the story begins to greatly move. In the end, the citizens and City 7 itself are taken by the repeated attacks of the Varohta Forces, right before the eyes of the Unified Forces, who were continuously being sent around and were always too late. Even from this bold and meticulous operational plan, the unfathomable portrait of Gepurunicchi has become more intensely distinct.

Topics: Gubaba's Origin
With its mysterious powers that are like telepathy, Gubaba greatly contributed to the search for Mylene. Although Gubaba is Mylene's best friend as well as her double, he's really an animal that's referred to as a Galarashi (galactic long-hair mouse). He was saved by Max from a place where he was on the verge of death after straying from his group on the planet Pukirasesu. Thereafter, Gubaba was presented to Mylene when she was 5 years old.
Topics: The Pinpoint Barrier Punch
The pinpoint barrier is a combined offensive and defensive armament that one could say is unique to the VF-19 Kai. And although the pinpoint barrier itself was developed in the First Interstellar War (2009 to 2010), it can be said that the VF-19 Kai's barrier started with the implementation of a hand-to-hand combat armament in the YF-19 and YF-21 in 2040 (the "Macross Plus" era).
