Commentary
This episode was comically composed to take a breather from the continuing development of the tension over City 7. In particular, Basara shows his humane comical aspects, such as his managerial treatment from the elderly Mylene fans, and playing the part as a singing older brother to the accompanying children who are in high spirits. Also, it's also possible to surmise Basara's stance toward his music from his line, "this famous song will continue to be song over the ages, irregardless of your gender or age."
In addition, another highlight is Dr. Chiba, who appears dressed like a mad scientist and performed a horrific experiment on Gamlin. Although he is assuredly a key man in the story, which leads to the later formation of Sound Force, his vivid character and strange actions leave a strong impression on the viewer.

As Minmei's period of activity was up until 2012, some 30 years earlier, one can grasp the lengthy love of her as an idol.

Basara was ignorant of knowledge related to the flying of GERWALK form to the degree that it shocked Miria. Although the VF-19 Kai becoming a GERWALK actually happened for the first time in the series this episode, one can catch a glimpse of Basara's exceptional piloting sense from the scene where Basara takes control of the control of the aircraft, despite it being mere seconds after hearing Miria's advice.
