Commentary
This episode, which is concerned with the formation of Sound Force, depicts what becomes one of the large turning points of this series. Even though viewers have caught sight of foreshadowing in the series so far, which advanced the setting up of Sound Force, the unit was finally formed by the decision of Max. This flow of foreshadowing was revealed in and recognized by the armed forces in the achievements of Fire Bomber and Basara as the thing that solved the brainwashing of the Varohta prisoner of war with song, and as counters against the new enemy Sybil. Furthermore, the member selection, which caused another dispute, led to another round of growth for Mylene, because its true meaning was that she exerted herself to win her comrades' confidence.

The Macross 5 Fleet began its journey as the 35th Super Long Range Emigrant Fleet. The crew are Zentraadi that have been My-clonized, and their peculiar designs are seen in the warships that compose the fleet. Also, it's confirmed from the captain's transmission that the popularity of Basara and the others isn't limited to Macross 7, and one can surmise that Akiko's producing has achieved success in the galaxy.

The Neo-Noputi Baganisu Bis, which are ships that accompanied the Macross 5 Fleet, are improved "Noputi Baganisu class", the ship that the Zentraadi Buritai used as a flagship in the First Interstellar War. The name "Bis" means an improved mechanism, and they are escort vessels that rival the "Uraga class Escort Carriers" in the Macross 7 Fleet.
