Commentary
The story starts to move in a big way toward the climax while the various expectations of friend and foe mix, such as the thinking of Basara and the Unified Forces, who conflict over how to deal with the Protodevilun; Geperunicchi, who commits Gabigura to battle after taking the great risk into account; and Sybil, who inexplicably acts against Basara.
The movements on the Protodevilun side are especially grand, and Gabigura, who took back his original appearance before he separated, also endures a Macross Cannon hit, and chases after Basara in a way not seen up until now. However, that union is a double-edged sword, where Gabiru and Gurabiru risk their lives if they make a mistake with that union, and Gabiru transmitted that he was ready to risk his life. Also, the irritated, sad expression of Sybil, who seeks Spiritia while being able to relate to Basara in the exchanges with him in the last scene and is a slave to the karma of the Protodevilun, boasts a strong pathos.

Topics: The Research Experiment Ship Einstein
The experiment ship that specializes in the research of science and technology. It doesn't only do research and analysis, but is also furnished with advanced experiment facilities, such as a super-gravity generator and an Energy Conversion Reactor, and it possesses an environment where technology can be development even during a long voyage. It seems that the model for the ship is a pyramid, and the "E=mc2" emblem originates in the relational equation associated with the Special Theory Of Relativity, which was published by Einstein.

Caption: Dr. Chiba and Exsedor advanced the research related to the Protodevilun in the ship during the series.

Topics: The Living Body Weapon Evhil Series
The data on the Evhil Series, which was written down in the Protoculture ruins, indicated that there were seven altogether. Even though all of the Protodevilun merged, as Gabiru and Gurabiru combine into one body, as far as the Macross 7 Fleet was concerned, there were only two remaining Protodevilun. In addition, the eighth Protodevilun, the "Space Fold Evhil", which wasn't noted in the Protoculture ruins, appears in the video game "Macross 30 - The Singing Voice That Connects The Galaxy".
