Commentary
Mylene plays a central part in the story in the episode just before the last one, which approaches as-is in Basara's absence. The situation where Mylene -who has greatly grown up- becomes the cornerstone of the operation, and is shown playing an active role that is evenly balanced with Basara, became something that was moving, as far as the the viewer is concerned, who has been watching her growth. Thus, it can be said that such things as the appearance of Mylene continuing to courageously sing even Basara's parts even though she worries about his body, and the appearance of her being perplexed by her personal feelings that swing between Basara and Gamlin, embodies the heroine image in the Macross series, which strangely exists in the anguish of songs.
Also, starting with the Battle 7 -which transforms to Storming Attack Form-, the battle scenes surely present the aspects of all-out war, such as investing the Super Parts and Trans-Atmospheric Booster equipped VF-17D and VF-19S into battle; in addition to the current Protodevilun assembling in one building. The flow of the sequences from the Battle 7 descending in the atmosphere to alighting on the ground surface and firing the Sound Buster in particular, became a dynamic development suitable for the final decisive battle.

Topics: Zomudo And Goramu's Ability To Force Something To Space Fold
As Gigiru raised the total energy of the fleet in the 18th episode to forcibly transition the City 7, one needs a vast amount of energy to force something to Space Fold from outside of a vast mass. Even though Zomudo and Goramu easily forced the Spiritia Farm in the 47th episode and the Riviera in the 48th episode to Space Fold, this originates in the fact that they are Protodevilun whose prime field is assumed to be to act as multipurpose ultra-high-speed combat transporters.

Topics: The Captains Who Take Control Of Their Ships
Max held the control gun joystick in his hand, and pulled the trigger of the Sound Buster. The act where the captain personally controls the ship in the final aspect done before a big crisis happened even during "Theatrical Macross F -The Wings Of Goodbye-", with Captain Jeffery undertaking it. It seems that both of their actions are surely because the pair are pilots with long military service, and they understood what it's like to be on the verge of victory or defeat.
