Commentary
Miria sings enthusiastically to her heart's content in the conclusion after thoroughly manipulating the people in her surroundings, and Mylene and Max feel ashamed as the family members of such a rampaging woman. In addition, the great strife of the people who are dragged into Miria's rampage -which stems from a misunderstanding-, is comically depicted; such as Gamlin, whose face had cramps in the formal marriage interview with Miho; and the Bouquet Girl, who swings from joy to fear as she eavesdrops on the talk about Basara's wedding. The way the punchline is affixed in particular is excellent, with Viheeda -who even at the best of times is reticent- not only opening her mouth, but actually being very interested in the pattern of Mylene's love. It also enables the viewer to catch a glimpse of one of Viheeda's unexpected aspects.
Also, in contrast to the preceding episode "On Stage", which depicted the meeting of three members of Fire Bomber -excluding Mylene-, the spotlight in this episode, which is concerned with Mylene's past, is applied to such things as the particulars of how she met Basara and got to become a member of Fire Bomber. Consequently, the two episodes of the "Macross 7 Encore" consist of a form that gets to the bottom of the past of all four members of Fire Bomber.

Topics: Viheeda's Few Lines
Even though the number of words that Viheeda says is extremely few, she talks with several lines during the series. When one sees the following list, one will realize that most of them were utterances toward Mylene.

Eps. 08 "Virgin Bomber"
"It's useless to quarrel with Basara. Reason doesn't apply to him." - Viheeda's few words to Mylene, who had gotten angry at Basara for slipping out of the recording session.
Eps. 34 "The Day That Gigiru Sang"
"Basara doesn't return. Until he's found something." - Said to Mylene, who said that they must continue to sing until Basara -who disappeared- comes back.
Eps. 44 "The Operation That Storms Into A Nightmare"
"Mylene, if you go, you'll only become a hindrance." - Basara rushed into the cave to rescue Max. Viheeda said it to Mylene, who was about to chase after such a Basara.
Encore "On Stage"
"Me, too." - A line in the flashback scene. Her response to Gehrig, who confessed, "I liked you", to Viheeda.
Encore "Which One Do You Like?"
"Which do you like?" - Said to Mylene, who didn't produce an answer when asked, Basara and Gamlin, which one do you like?

Topics: Enthusiastically Singing Miria
Miria displayed singing not only in the this episode's turmoil, but also in the Jamming Birds audition ("Macross 7" Eps. 32). Takeda Eri, who performed the song, is a multi-talented entertainer, who did such things as personally write the song and lyrics for "Miria's Lullaby", which flowed in the 30th episode of "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", and she also played the role of the singing elder sister in an NHK program oriented toward children.

Preview of the Next Episode

Mylene: "Our songs are totally not getting through to them!?"
Basara: "What's this? A Minmei Attack?"
Mylene: "Next time, "The Strongest Woman's Fleet".
Basara: "Listen to my song!"
