Commentary This episode becomes a turning point of the story in preparation for the imminent climax, and the mysteries concerning the Galactic Whales, which are unknown entities, are gradually solved. Concerning the opinions in particular, which are convinced of the existence of intention in the Galactic Whales, regardless of standpoint they correspond to Graham and such people as the Poaching Group's Caliber and the Patrol Corps' Lawrence toward Basara.
However, due to each standpoint and way of thinking, the point that the approaches to the white whale greatly differ is interesting. Basara, who as a musician, tries to attempt communication through music, and Graham, who tries to get release from his longtime sorrow by performing the last rites over the deceased as a hunter. The poacher Caiber challenges the white whale to a fight in order to eliminate its impediment to fishing, and the researcher Lawrence tries to come into contact with it in order to satisfy his biological enquiring mind. What end do their minds and actions toward the Galactic Whales bring to the story? While being able to strongly attract the interest of the viewers, the story comes to face its climax.

Topics: Topics: The VFs That Are Illicitly Sold By Roscha's Firm
The Unified Forces markings on the brand new VF-17D (green coloured normal specification craft) that the Roscha Firm was selling, seems to have originally been an aircraft that was scheduled to be delivered to the Unified Forces. Even though it isn't understood if Roscha has a relationship with the armed forces, its very likely that such vehicles as the Poaching Group's VF-11 were Roscha's merchandise that was obtained through the same route.

Topics: The Hoily Family's VT-1C
Even though the Hoily family's VT-1C that Basara boarded is a memento of Maria, the details in the former external appearance differ in many places, and starting with the head, it closely resembles a Super Parts equipped VF-1A. Perhaps, even though it seems that repairs were piled up many times one on top of the other, the changes seem not to have been on such things as its colouring and gun pod.

Topics: Graham's Wife Maria Hoily
Maria was Graham's wife and Elma and Liza's mother. Even though she became famous in a single bound with the hit "Like Water, Like Love", which is her representative song, when she made the Galactic Whales hear her songs, just like Basara, she was thrown out into space, and died. It is possible to hear her singing voice from the radio that Elma carries in the series.

Mylene: "Basara, where are you!"
Basara: "What? Is it Mylene? What are you doing in such a place?"
Mylene: "Tha... it's not that! Why do you think I've come to such a place?"
Basara: "Why?"
Mylene: "S... so..., I, err, uhm, I've got to call on Gamlin."
Basara: "Gamlin? I saw him a little while ago."
Mylene: "Huh? It's not that! Leave Gamlin out of it for a mo'!"
Basara: "'Right, see you later."
Mylene: "Jus, jus, a minute! Why do you think I've come to such a place?"
Basara: "So, what for?"
