Commentary
Ranka's formal decision to enter the world of show business, the Frontier government officially announces the existence of the Vajra, Sheryl informs them of the terrible spectacle of the Galaxy Fleet, and the resolution of Aruto, who faces his first large-scale battle... this episode is stuffed with various turning points. Centring on the hero Aruto, the episode has a clear balanced feeling, with the A part on his relationship with Ranka, and the B part composed of his drama with Sheryl. One of this episodes main points is Ozuma's change of mind, as he recognizes Ranka's debut. Ozuma's chivalry is moving, to the point that Ozuma prostrates himself before Elmo, whom he has decided to entrust his younger sister to, just in case something happens to him during the dangerous mission. In addition, the "Space Fold", hyperspace navigation, is explained at the start of this episode, and along with that, as was expected, the role it performed in the telecommunications irregularity between Galaxy and Frontier is explained to the viewer.

Topics: The "Culture" Of Macross Frontier
The multi-purpose hall "Tenkumon*" in the Beijing Area was the venue for Sheryl's concerts. This area was built based on Tienanmen in China, and the building is decorated with a huge dragon. The cultures of Earth breathe even here.

*Translator's note: literally "Gate of the Sky"

Topics: Electronic Warfare In The "Macross" Series
Aircraft, whose intent is electronic warfare, are seen here and there in the "Macross" series, such as the Elint Seeker, which appeared only in one shot in "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross - Do You Remember Love?". In this episode, Luca is depicted polishing the sensor of a QF-4000*, and electronics are clustered together in this semi-transparent part.

* Translator's note: errata. Originally was: "the nose of an RVF-25"

Right: [Ai] The Elint Seeker of "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross - Do You Remember Love?" is also an early warning electronic surveillance craft.

Left: The scene where one can infer the uniqueness of the RVF-25 in the VF-25 series. Only a little bit of cloudiness on the lens can influence the scanning precision.
