Commentary
The episode where the love triangle from the passions of Aruto, Sheryl and Ranka comes to a head. The feelings of the three people are respectively earnest, and Sheryl's exaggeration that she appears to have forgotten songs, Aruto's scolding such a Sheryl, and the sight of Ranka putting her feelings into her songs to Aruto, all cross each other. This episode's showy live performance at the campus is impressive, but this kind of idea was originally planned to be shown in an earlier episode, and general director Kawamori is said to have thought that if they were going to depict the school festival, than they had no choice but to do it in this episode. Although the feelings of tension concerning Mishima and Grace's conspiracy and the reappearance of the Vajra is striking, in the drama aspect it is the depiction of Michael and Kuran who have apprehensions about Aruto and the other main characters. Michael, who will have an especially heroic fate in the next episode, shows the manners of a good man to his junior, Luca. It becomes a nice accent to the episode along with Brera, whose origins are gradually becoming clear.

Topics: The Mission For Macross Quarter
This time, there isn't any combat, and the mission of the crew of the Macross Quarter is to confirm the security of the environs in the sector of space that the Frontier Fleet is going to arrive in by super long-range Space Fold. The 7th Super Long-Range Space Fold is partly done in emergency, because the originally scheduled sector of space produced some measurement errors. Although the energy of the bridge was made tedious in the sector of space that didn't have any enemy attacks, in the story of the series, it was surely the calm before the storm.

Topics: The Informant On The Street Corner
Kathy, who is pretending to be on a date with Ozuma, contacts the town informant for information on Mishima. The store's outward appearance is that of a hot dog stand, and the disc that the information had been entered onto was disguised as change and passed th Kathy. Even though its full background is unknown, this hot dog stand was the stand that Sheryl and Aruto stopped by at in the 5th episode (lower picture). The informant is a casual street corner person whose face has a surprising reverse side.

Topics: The Real Creatures That Lurked Among The Audience Cosplayers
Among the audience who assembled for Ranka's live commemorative performance were a lot of fans who easily got in the mood and attended dressed in cosplay. Among them there were even people made-up in the form of the Vajra. Even though 3 space creatures, who seemed so extremely well done that their whole body seemed to be natural, stood in a corner of the venue, it turns out in the following 20th episode that they were really the genuine Second Stage of the Vajra larvae. This type metamorphosed in pupa and successively appeared in the Frontier Fleet.
