Commentary
With a story that can be called the prologue to the climax, Aruto's and Sheryl's hearts are bound together in this episode. This piece also includes Sheryl's genuine comeback, Mishima's secret manoeuvring behind the scenes, and the alienation of the Macross Quarter side. The Macross Quarter side and the Brera and others who take independent actions are added to the power chart, which has so far included the Macross Frontier, Vajra, and Macross Galaxy. Also, many viewers were surely surprised by Aruto and Luca parting company with the S.M.S. side. Don't you agree that there are a considerable number of fans who sympathize with the appearance of Aruto who, following Kabuki tradition, descends from the S.M.S. stage, and looks hard at, and corrects, himself? In the details, the depiction of Elmo's human kindness, which seems to have been born from his connection with Sheryl at the end of the 20th episode, is also pleasant.

Although Bobby is in a position where he is in a relationship with Cathy as a rival in love over Ozuma, Bobby's broad-mindedness can be noticed in the point where he closely embraces both of their bodies without any favouritism when the two meet again. In addition, seeing the depiction of Bobby tenderly soothing Cathy, who is grieved at heart from her father's death, it is possible to infer the height of the power of his embrace. Having well understood Ranka's girl's feelings in the 10th episode, the point that Bobby's manly spirit and sensitivity coexist seems to be his appeal.
