Commentary
The truth of the 117th Research Fleet Incident, which occurred 11 years ago and has been talked about several times so far, is finally confirmed. The tragedy of Ranka, who regardless of her personal intention, synchronizes with the Vajra with her inborn constitution, is looked at even more closely. Sheryl behaving like a good girl, which depicts a form that forms a pair with such a Ranka, is deeply impressive. While she holds feelings toward Aruto that are stronger than anyone else, the scene where Sheryl realizes her personal fate in the small quantity of her remaining life, and entrusts him with Ranka's rescue, moves the people who watch it. In this scene, the earrings in particular, which also have the implication of her relationship with Aruto, are truly used effectively. Also, even though the appearance of the gigantic Ranka in the battle scene is also shocking, the act where she sang a new version of "Do You Remember Love?" was also one that seemed to be the climax of this production for the 25th anniversary of Macross.

Topics: The Giant That Couldn't Be Reborn
Although it was regrettably cut, there was a plan where the Zentraadi soldier Temujin reappeared in the scenario for the last episode - he was the Zentraadi that Aruto battled in the 12th episode. It's said that they had planned to have him rescued in the 24th episode, and he takes a greatly active role in the 25th episode. The young Zentraadi who resembles Temujin that assists Ranka in "Macross F The Movie ~ The Wings Of Goodbye", might be the remains of that depiction that wasn't accomplished in the TV series.

Topics: The Threshold Between Virtual Images And Real Images
The greatest event in this episode might be the appearance of a giant Ranka, which floats over the surface of the Vajra's main world. This is an idea that Director Kawamori Shouji thought up at the last moment before the deadline. It's said that it is something that emulates the visual image of Sharon that floated over the Macross Storming Attack Form, that was earlier in the climax of "Macross Plus".

Topics: The Hand That Turns The Pages Of The Album
Even though this production, "Macross F", adorns the 25th Macross anniversary, the 25th episode preview clip could be said to really embody the playful minds of the staff. Although the normal preview uses clips from the next episode, the preview for the next episode in this 24th episode is composed of clips of real photographs being turned over in an album. Even though it seems that there were many people who noticed, if they were Macross fans from yore, this is imitating the ending of "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" (bottom).

Preview of the Next Episode
It is the sparkle of life. Aruto's dream, Sheryl's feelings, and Ranka's songs soar in the sky (space).
Next time, "Your Sound".
