Commentary
The episode where the characters, who are bound by the fate of the Protoculture to Hikaru, Misa, Max and Miria, such as Exsedor and Buritai, deploy in a joint operation in order to expand the armed forces after the great war. While this episode's guest Buritai displays an Earthling-style greeting when he meets Misa and the others again, he applies a good compromise between the Zentraadi traits and Earth's cultures, such as trying to win over his former brethren with the power of culture, and in some way exemplifies the appearance of the ideal Zentraadi. On the other hand, the episode depicts the pleasant love patterns of each character, such as Miria, who raises her child with a standard different from what's common knowledge on the Earth; Max, who also became a genius cook before he was aware of it; and Misa, who is motivated by Komiria and tries to advance her relationship with Hikaru.

Topics: Buritai's Ship Once More
In addition to the repairs on the ship's bow, which was slightly damaged in the 22nd episode, the Buritai ship that reappears in this episode is also furnished with facilities in the ship for the Earthling crew. In the short story "The Blank Two Years", which was collected in the Mook "Macross Perfect Memory" (Minori Bookstore), after the decisive battle with the Bodoru Fleet, even though Buritai's Ship made an emergency landing on the Earth, the repairs on it took 1 year, as the damage to it was light. In addition, the flagship that Dagao boarded in this episode was an isomorph to Buritai's ship.

Topics: "Miria's Lullaby"
"Miria's Lullaby" is the piece of music that flows in the scene where Miria tucks in Komiria in the climax of this episode, and Takeda Eri, in the Miria role, wrote the song lyrics, composition, and personally sang it. The song lyrics like "you will become big and strong" and so on, have a content in which Miria addresses her own child Komiria so that she may live strongly. Incidentally, even though this song wasn't recorded on the soundtrack at the time of "Macross"'s broadcast, and was a phantom song for many years, it was first recorded on the 3-disc "Macross The Complete" CD, released in 1992.

Topics: The Reason Why The Zentraadi Were Afraid Of The "Baby"
As the Zentraadi are produced by cloning technology with bodies that have already grown up at the start, the concept of such things as reproduction and babies doesn't exist in them. As far as such a people are concerned, Komiria, who Miria produced with Max, seems to have been a concept that was more devastating than such things as songs and kissing.

Preview of the Next Episode
The Zentraadi who caused a riot in the streets of Trad plan to seize the My-clone Device. Although Hikaru and others came running to suppress the disturbance, they fail to transfer the control of the device to the New Unified Forces. With that opportunity, the evil influence of Kamjin once more assails the streets.
Next time, "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", "Satan Doll".
