Drama CD
Drama CDs that reproduce the world view of the Macross series by sound and character voices. They collect a lot of content that can be heard only on them, such as later developments to the story and sub-stories.

The World Of Macross Composed Of Voices And Sounds
The "Macross" series animation productions, together with Variable Fighters (VFs) and battle scenes, are elevated with character songs and love components as a large part of their charm. The goods that focus on those "songs" and characters are the Drama CDs. They gained great popularity, irregardless of the listeners gender, as their content is rich in variety, such as original stories that weren't told in the original anime story, and original songs that can only be heard on the CDs.
So far, such series as "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", "Macross 7", and "Macross F" have been released as Drama CDs, and with "Macross F"*, the "Nyan Dra-maru" has been made into a series. "Nyan Dra-maru" is based on the concept of "granting your wild ideas", and they are composed of duet songs and original short stories touched with comedy that shine the spotlight on the characters that appeared in the series. It is content coveted by character fans.
With "Macross 7", it was labelled a "CD Cinema" series, and five drama CDs were released. These were short stories that unfolded centred on Fire Bomber, in a series that collects the drama that was telecast on the TBS Radio System. It was also possible to confirm the details in this series as the script was also enclosed with the CDs.
"Macross Classics" has been released as the Drama CD of the "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross". This production is composed of a total of four short stories in the two year blank space that's between the 27th episode "Love Flows Away" and 28th episode "My Album" of the TV series. The original cast are used for the roles, and it became the inside story that was supervised by director Kawamori Shouji, and is a must-listen production, if you're a fan. Thus, one can say that the Drama CDs are goods that one is able to enjoy while delving deeply the songs and characters of the "Macross" series.
