The Group Of Macross Related Publications That Expand The World Of The Productions
After "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross", publications on the Macross series were published from a great number of publishers. The genres were wide-ranging, and one was able to enjoy various sections of it, such as setting collections that used and complimented such things as letters and setting drawings of the original story; novels that got to the bottom of later developments and the parts in the anime that one couldn't follow; and manga that developed and showed a world view that differed from the anime. At the time of the broadcast of the "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" TV series in particular, the robot anime and their plastic models were in a boom, a lot of books on plastic models, in addition to mooks that covered setting materials in detail, were published, and they enlivened the boom with a multimedia expansion in anime, publications, and plastic models. Also, the film books were priceless treasures at that time, as the spread of video recording machines was low, and video software was also expensive.
In 2009, when the popularity of "Macross F" had swelled, the Macross specialized comic magazine "Macross Ace" (Kadokawa Bookstore Publishing) was published. The thickness of the history of the series came to also be known by the new generation of fans.

In particular, "Korokoro Comics" and "Extra Issue Korokoro Comics" pushed "Macross" from many sides, such as the serialized Macross plastic model themed "Plastic Model Genius ESPer Taro" and "Plastic Spirit Epic", and published the "Do You Remember Love?" film story and "The Legend Of The Hero Roy Fokker" side story in a special issue.

Caption: "The Legend Of The Hero Roy Fokker" was written by Saito Eiichi, the author of "Plastic Model Genius ESPer Taro".
