The "Master File" series are mooks produced by the "GA Graphic" editorial department and published by SB Creative. Even though the game "Ace Combat" and the robot anime "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Galactic Drifter Vifam" are in their lineup, above all else, the "Variable Fighter Master File", which features the Macross series, are a popular series even in the Master File series, with many books released.
The feature of this "Variable Fighter Master File" is the point where they present the Variable Fighters (VFs) that appear in the Macross series as realistically as possible, such as supposedly existing mechanics, diagrams of their activities, their development chronologies, fuselage variants, and the markings of each unit. It also publishes the VF-1 markings.
