Macross 30
~The Singing Voice That Connects the Galaxy~
◎ The game was named "Macross 30" to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Macross. It is a boisterous volume befitting the 30th anniversary, featuring such things as a new Valkyrie designed by Shōji Kawamori, and guest appearances from the successive generations of characters.
A Voluminous Game Suitable For the 30th Anniversary of Macross This "Macross 30" production is a game produced as part of the project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Macross series. The game was produced under a perfect set-up, with Artdink, who have been involved in the recent Macross related games such as "Macross Ace Frontier" and "Macross Triangle Frontier", in charge of development; with a scenario by Ukyo Kodachi, who worked on the novels for "Macross F" and the other Macross series; animation production by Satellite; and overall supervision by Shōji Kawamori, who also designed the new VF, the "YF-30 Chronos". The content has been adopted from past games such as "Macross Triangle Frontier". However, it has been changed from a system where the player clears the assigned missions for each level to the so-called "miniature-garden game" where the player can freely roam through a vast area, defeats enemies they encounter on the way, and clears the events and missions that occur at specific points. This change dramatically increases the degree of freedom of the game, and also incorporates "playing elements" familiar to "miniature-garden games", such as winning subquests, earning points, and racing—giving this game a sense of volume that will allow people to play it for a long time. In addition, more than 50 types of Valkyrie appear in the game from the successive Macross productions (including colour variations). As the game progresses, most of these Valkyries can be used as playable Valkyries, and the fact that each Valkyrie can be individually tuned is also an element that will keep people playing the game for a long time. In addition, the control system is designed to accommodate a wide range of players, making it easier for them to enter the game world—such as the ability to switch between control modes based on previous games in the Macross series, and an "auto combat mode" for beginners, in which the AI will automatically perform combat for you. The story is also befitting of a production that commemorates the 30th anniversary, with characters from "The Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" to "Macross F" gathered together across time and space. The story incorporates elements characteristic of each series, such as successive generations of protagonists who were brainwashed by Sharon Apple becoming enemies of the player, or Aruto and friends trying to protect the Vajra, who the enemy forces are trying to use. It can be said that this is one game that truly contains the volume of 30 years of Macross.

A Flight Action RPG that Has Its Adventure in Vast Areas Players venture around the planet Ouroboros, the game's setting, by piloting a Valkyrie. Lurking in a variety of areas—such as a desert, an archipelago, and a glacier—are bandit ruffians and troops from the hostile Hávamál, and players will sometimes encounter large numbers of enemies and powerful bosses.
Caption:
• Players move freely through the vast areas. Such things as events or battles occur when they reach a specific spot in the area, and the story progresses.
Caption:
• Upon encountering an enemy in the area, the game seamlessly transitions to combat. Players can use the Valkyrie's transformations and the terrain to fight strategically.
Caption:
• Sometimes high-speed automatic scrolling missions also occur. In these stages—where the player avoids enemy attacks from all directions—a split-second decision can mean the difference between life and death.

Many Valkyries From Past Series Also Appear This game, which is a product by the Macross 30th Anniversary Commemoration Project, features VFs from the successive generations of Macross series. The YF-30—an original Valkyrie for this game—and the personal Valkyries of familiar pilots, as well as original Valkyrie specifications such as a YF-29 for Ozuma and a VF-1 for Mylene, will become playable as the game progresses.
Caption:
• Each Valkyrie can be transformed into 3 forms. The choice of each form is the key to success, such as the Battroid form in narrow terrain and the Fighter form in vast spaces.
Caption:
• It is possible to develop new Valkyries by using blueprints and parts obtained in battle. You can also get high-performance Valkyries, such as a YF-29 for Isamu.
◀ ▼ The YF-30 Chronos is the original Valkyrie from this game. It is state-of-the-art as of 2060.

Caption:
