The Civilian Cooperative Unit that uses songs to face the Protodevilun. The unit members are composed of the four members of the rock band Fire Bomber, and their full set of equipment is officially backed up by the armed forces. Sound Force existed as the sole opposition against the Protodevilun, who weren't harmed by conventional weapons.

Caption: The rock group, Fire Bomber, which was active in the Macross 7 Fleet.* Nekki Basara, who is the vocalist and guitarist, was called "Anima Spiritia" by the Protodevilun.

The Record Of The Jamming Birds Activities

Dedicated Aircraft
As the Jamming Birds members cannot fly VFs, a group member and pilot board the two-seater aircraft. Also, because the group members' abilities don't compare to that of Sound Force, they used a simple type of Sound Energy Conversion System with a low maximum output.

Right: VF-11D Kai
An aircraft that's been remodelled into a two-seater model. It is normally equipped with Aerospace Super Parts that have a space-time resonance type Speaker Conversion System built into them.

Related Matter: The People Concerned With The Jamming Birds
The Jamming Birds are a Civilian Cooperative Unit that backs up the armed forces. The Unified Forces Musical Unit's Colonel Burton, who clutches full authority over them, and Dr. Chiba, who is a military physician, were in charge of the equipment side, which, together with Sound Force, manifested the special actions of Song Energy. Dedicated Valkyries were made by the Special Technology Group. Membership in Jamming Birds was widely advertised among the civilians, and as their debut song "The Lure Of The Valkyrie" was produced by Honey Suzuki, the Jamming Bird members are also attached to his office. Even though they are a unit that brings together the military and civilians, it differs from Sound Force; and, without exception, was managed under the main leadership of the armed forces.

Left: Colonel Burton
As one of the members of Project M, he is entrusted with full authority over the operation of the Jamming Birds. He is a person who experienced the First Interstellar War, and closely experienced Lynn Minmei's growth and tracks. For that reason, he is proactive in the military use of songs.
