Related Matter: The Death Of Protodevilun
As an existence that the Protoculture were only just able to seal away, the Protodevilun seemed to be impossible to defeat. However, the Protodevilun named Barugo and Gigiru "died" on Planet Rax. Barugo was annihilated in an attack by Gigiru, and it is thought that Gigiru self-destructed in an excessive energy release at that time.

Related Matter: The Historic Ruins On Planet Rax
Planet Rax is considered to be the planet where Protoculture, who had experienced the conflict with the Protodevilun, had escaped safely to. That is conjecture from the Protoculture ruins that are concealed on the planet. Although the ruins were destroyed by the Protodevilun, who feared the disclosure of the information contained within it, its remains were collected by the Macross 7's scientific research vessel Einstein, and were used to study the Protodevilun.
