Such things as the transformation to Storming Attack form, the Pinpoint Barrier and the Daedalus Attack that used the Pinpoint Barrier at the same time, were all only desperate measures of the Macross in the initial stage of the First Interstellar War. Even though the transformation to Storming Attack form caused a degradation in manoeuvrability, it was highly valued for such things as its one-shot one-kill anti-ship offensive abilities, and it was adopted into the successor ships to the Macross.

Related Matter: The Establishment Of Urban Areas Within The Macross
The residents of South Ataria Island, who were swallowed up in the Space Fold and became refugees, were housed in the Macross and immediately started constructing urban areas in the surplus space within the ship. They could appropriate materials from South Ataria Island and favourably make progress in construction, and they formed neighbourhoods in the ship that overflowed with energy and were unrelated to the gloomy image of refugee facilities.
