After the pair played an active role in a special duty force, Max became the captain of the Stealth Cruiser Haruna, and Mira became an instructor at the Eagle Nest Air Combat Tactics Center. In 2038, Max was assigned to be the Macross 7 Captain, and Miria as the Sub-Commander. After that, Mira became the City 7 Mayor in April, 2042.
