Hull Explanation
Although the former Protoculture were driven to destruction, they sealed the Protodevilun in the Varohta Star System. The Protodevilun were revived by the Varohta Star System Research Group and their escorts, the Blue Rhinoceros company [of soldiers]; who, in addition to the Megaroad 13 Fleet which had begun migrating into the Varohta Star System, were manipulated by brainwashing to compose the Varohta Forces. It's said that the number of people able to do battle in the Varohta Forces is on the scale of several hundred thousand. The Varohta Forces formed a large-scale fleet of 500 large and small vessels that were improvements on base Unified Forces craft. The commander-in-chief is Geperunicchi, who resides in the Fleet Flagship Space Carrier. The Protodevilun set out to usurp "Spiritia", the energy of the living body; an energy the Protodevilun need so that they can live.
In 2045 AD, the Varohta Forces encountered the Macross 7 Fleet, and started a campaign of small-scale operations against them, such as dispatching covert operatives to the fleet. Later, the large-scale Varohta Fleet captured the Macross 5 Fleet, and the encounter with the Macross 7 Fleet expanded into a large-scale fleet battle at the planet Rax.

Fleet Flagship Space Carrier
The extra-large fleet command battle carrier that was originally designed and constructed to defend the Varohta Star System's emigrants from large-scale foreign enemies, and is also about half the size of City 7. The one ship has offensive abilities that are comparable to a large-scale fleet. The carrier is endowed with the mobility and acceleration abilities at the level of a battleship. It also has the ability to singlehandedly exterminate a small-scale Zentraadi Fleet (although one might say that the fleet has more than 1,000 ships).

The carrier is equipped with 8 Anti-Fleet Extra-Large Reaction Weapon Missiles - each loaded with 24 10-gigaton class reaction warheads - as the main munition, and 8 Macross Canons as the main battery. In addition, the carrier is also equipped with such things as a great number of beam guns and missile phalanxes in various places. Moreover, the carrier can make use of more than 500 Variable Fighters. This ability usually corresponds with 2 to 3 normal scale regular space carriers.

Up: The bridge interior has had a unique design applied to it, and commander-in-chief Geperunicchi rode the ship here. The bridge has an excellent integrated fleet command system set up in it, and it is possible to command a fleet - on the scale of several hundreds of ships - in battle with it.

New Gigantic Carrier
The new model space carrier that the Varohta Forces put into battle during the war's final phase. Even though each battleship in the Varohta Forces is loaded with Variable Fighters, the Varohta Forces finally accepted the necessity of a dedicated carrier, and hastily built this ship. It is a large warship that exceeds 1,000 m. This same warship is equipped with a great number of armaments, such as large-bore beam guns, close-range missiles, and reaction missile launchers. Even though it is a carrier, it is endowed with the fire power of the heavy cruiser class. In addition, even though it operated equipped with about 200 Variable Fighters, the New Gigantic Carrier takes only about 20 minutes until it's deployed all 200 aircraft that are loaded into it, as it is equipped with 4 open-and-shut style scramble catapults per side, which can discharge a maximum of 24 Variable Fighters at the same time.

Up/Left: Besides the bridge, the main armaments, such as the Reaction Missile Launchers and Large-Bore Beam Guns, are concentrated on the warship's front. In the warship's center to stern are the Scramble Catapult Decks.

Down: Catapults
The open-and-shut large Scramble Catapult Decks. Each deck can launch 3 Variable Fighters at the same time. Because of these catapults, the New Gigantic Carrier demonstrates a carrier-borne aircraft deployment ability that the other warships on the Varohta Fleet do not have.
