Related Matter: AIF-9V
The Ghost (unmanned aircraft) that the Macross Galaxy Fleet operates is the AIF-9V. It is the next generation of the AIF-7S that the New Unified Forces invests into combat, and this aircraft also inherited the overwhelming manoeuvrability which is the feature of the unmanned aircraft. They are loaded aboard the Battle Galaxy, operated by Grace O'conner, and were invested into the final decisive battle with the Frontier Fleet.

Caption: It has the nickname "Ghost V9 (Vee-nine)". It has a size identical to that of the AIF-7S.

Left: The AIF-9V has sensors in such places as the nose, and they were able to confirm the changes of battle in detail in real-time.

Right: The AIF-9V has a form that emulates that of the Ghost X-9, whose development was suspended once. Its armaments are missiles and a gun pod.

Down: While it's an unmanned fighter aircraft with a small and simple shape, it boasts of a high fighting capability because of its manoeuvrability.
