Heavy Battleship Vajra
About 10 to 20 exist as a group in the individual that corresponds to the flagship class in the space combat group (a graduated chain of command doesn't exist in the Vajra, as all individuals basically have a shared awareness). The surrounding airspace and interior of the body are protected by innumerable Mobile Soldier Vajra and Heavy Soldier Vajra, and the back 3-barrel bio heavy quantum beam gun turrets have an offensive ability that equals that of the Macross Cannon. Also, it has a great number of 3-barrel bio heavy beam gun turrets in addition to the back turrets. It is furnished with a Fold Barrier over the tough bio energy conversion armour it possesses, and is shielded by setting external attack energy free into fold space. Many quartz towers exist within the body - where a lot of fold quartz is embedded - for the vast energy consumption of such things as the bio heavy quantum beam guns and fold barrier. It can move super long ranges with bio space fold navigation.

Destroyer Vajra
A Vajra in the form of a small fighting ship, which excels at acceleration and manoeuvrability. It exists in the several hundreds per Space Combat Group. In addition to being armed with a single powerful bio beam gun in the top of the front, it has a great number of small calibre beam guns for self-defence, and dozens of bio micro-missiles. The Destroyer Vajra can make super-long range movements with its bio fold navigation.

Caption: Its size is close to that of the Macross Quarter, and it features high manoeuvrability. Even though it's the same warship model, their size and number differ from that of the Giant Heavy Battleship Vajra.

Vajra Semi-Queen
The Semi-Queen exists in Mobile Fortress type nests with lengths in the 10~20 km class. These nests are defended by multiple bio energy armour and are armed with 4~6 bio heavy quantum beam guns. They have a fighting strength that equals that of several Heavy Battleship Vajra. The Semi-Queens lead groups of a lot of every kind of Vajra, wander in outer space, land when a suitable planet is found, and build a Vajra nest. In the Vajra nest, they finally grow into the Vajra Queen, who exceeds several dozens to several hundred kilometres in length. Probably because the Flagship Fleet Mobile Fortresses of the Zentraadi Forces have a structure that imitates the Vajra nests, the Semi-Queen might use an abandoned Flagship Fleet Mobile Fortress (or one that was destroyed in a Vajra attack) as a temporary nest.

Caption: While the tail is an ovipositor, a heavy quantum beam blade can be formed from the tip and used in combat. This beam easily pierced the armour of Aruto's VF-25F.

Related Matter: The Vajra Nest
The Vajra nest that fought against the Macross Frontier Fleet in 2059 was one that used a Zentraadi Medium-Sized Bodoru Class Fortress. The young Vajra Semi-Queen left the nest of its homeworld, used this sort of wreckage, and formed a Vajra colony. Before long, the Semi-Queen accomplished its growth into a new Queen.

Caption: This Fortress, which the Zentraadi formerly used, was confirmed as the same type as the one in the First Interstellar War. This Fortress was destroyed by the Vajra around half a century ago, and became a nest, as is.

Caption: The center part where the Semi-Queen secludes herself in the nest. It is defended from even the direct hit of a Macross Cannon by developing a Fold Barrier.

Larva (Ai-kun)
A Vajra larvae immediately after hatching from an egg. The whole body is covered in green feathers, and it resembles an Earth born squirrel. This larvae sheds its skin, and grows into a 2~3 m long multipurpose small Vajra, that has armour like a crustacean. There are many uncertainties if these multipurpose Vajra specialize into such things as the Heavy Soldier Vajra and Heavy Battleship Vajra by some kind of stimulant (it's thought that such stimulus is by hormones or Fold Waves), or if these Vajra are born in the unique forms that they grow into from the beginning.

Caption: The form of Ai-kun growing to adulthood. Four wings grow from the back, and it not only obtained flight abilities, but also carries out a growth in intelligence, such as the ability to comprehend and react to a person's speech.

Initial Form
Ranka doesn't notice that it is a Vajra larva, gives it the name "Ai-kun", and raises it. Probably because Ai-kun lived among humans, it held love for people, such as risking its life to save Sheryl. That might be a part of the awareness of comrades that the Vajra naturally have.

Caption: Even though it was kept like a pet, Ai-kun showed instincts as a Vajra even in everyday life, such as reacting to the songs of Ranka, who has Fold Bacterium in her intestines.

Caption: Even though Ai-kun is small, it already possesses the power to develop a Fold Barrier, and saved Sheryl and Ozuma, who had been thrown out into outer space.
