Macross Zero An OVA series set in the Unification War period. It depicts the confused state of the Earth before the completion of the SDF-1 Macross along with finely depicted mechanics. Attention was also focused on rendering the mechanics in 3DCG.

Setting: 2008 A.D.

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross The first memorable production. It depicts the conflict with the Zentrādi, the first aliens that humans encountered. Popular characters, such as Lynn Minmei and Roy Fokker, were born in this series.

Setting: 2009 A.D.

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross Flash Back 2012 A production that depicts the world after "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" in addition to Minmei video clips. Attention should be paid to it, as there are many mechanics that can only be seen in this production, such as the Megaroad and VF-4 Lightning.

Setting: 2012 A.D.

Macross Plus An OVA produced at the same time as "Macross 7". The detailed depiction of mechanical action is the subject in a story centred on the two test pilots of the new Valkyrie models. The OVA gave birth to popular mecha such as the YF-19 and YF-21.

Setting: 2040 A.D.

Macross Plus Movie Edition The theatrically released production of "Macross Plus". The OVA series was reorganized and increased by about 20 minutes of newly produced new footage; the content of which puts the love triangle—consisting of the 2 test pilots and 1 woman—in the spotlight.

Setting: 2040 A.D.

Macross 7 A production that depicts the activities of Fire Bomber—the band led by Nekki Basara—set in the Macross 7 Emigrant Fleet. A pilot who sings without fighting stands out even among the "Macross" series.

Setting: 2045–2046 A.D.

Theatrical Macross 7 The Galaxy is Calling Me! The theatrical release of the popular "Macross 7" production. This is an extra episode of the TV series, in which the Zentrādi Emilia Jīnasu and Basara engage in a singing battle.

Setting: 2045–2046 A.D.

Macross Dynamite 7 An OVA that depicts things after "Macross 7". The activities of Nekki Basara after leaving Fire Bomber are depicted in a production that was produced to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the birth of Macross. Its unique subject is a giant going after Galactic Whales.

Setting: 2047 A.D.

Macross F (Frontier) The newest work that depicts the conflict between the Macross Frontier Emigrant Fleet and the Vajra, an enigmatic life-form. It is a high quality production that combines 3DCG mechanics with characters that overflow with charm.

Setting: 2059 A.D.

Macross FB7 Listen to My Song! A special chapter that blends the worlds of the TV version of "Macross F" with "Macross 7". Its subject is Ranka and Sheryl et al browsing recorded clips of Macross 7 that were left behind by an enigmatic creature.

Setting: 2059 A.D.

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? A theatrically released production that was completed by the main staff of the "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross". In a production with overwhelming quality, it centers on a new story arc that uses a setting that differs from that of the TV version.

Theatrical Macross F ~The False Songstress~ The first chapter in the theatrically released "Macross F" productions. The VF-25's Tornado Pack appears as the new mechanic. With high quality live concert scenes, it focuses on "What if Sheryl was a spy?"—a story development that is a complete change from the TV series.

Theatrical Macross F ~Wings of Goodbye~ The concluding chapter that continues from "~the False Songstress~", which explains the concealed mystery of Sheryl's and Ranka's singing voices. It presents one more answer to the whereabouts of the love triangle that has concerned and interested fans since the TV series.

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II ~Lovers Again~ Although it is set in the "Macross" world of 2091, it is an independent story spun by completely new characters and mechanics. It depicts the conflict between Earth's mankind and the Mardūk, aliens with a culture of singing.
