Related Matter: Armour Increase Model Super Parts
Models of Super Parts, which are manoeuvrability improvement options, also exist with the objective of improving bullet-resistance like an Armoured Pack, despite being ancillary [to the main objective of the Super Parts]. They are the SPS-25S/MF-25 for the VF-25, which adds armour to the major parts, frail parts, and so on.

Caption: The SPS-25S/MF-25 covers such places as the chest, intakes, engine nacelles, and shield with armour.

Related Matter: Armoured And Battroid Performance Differences
As the Battroid is assumed to be for close hand-to-hand combat, it is endowed with suitable defensive capabilities for that. However, because the VF itself is based on a fighter aircraft, there are limits to its ground warfare fire power and bullet resistance. Although the Armoured Packs are equipment that resolves that, they degraded the Battroid's manoeuvrability and mobility.

Caption: Even though the Energy Conversion Armour can be fully operated, the Battroids were occasionally damaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Zentraadi, as such places as the joints are frail.

Related Matter: VF Shields
A shield, with the objective of increasing bullet resistance without relying on an Armoured Pack, came to be standard equipment on the VF-11 Thunderbolt. This VF shield was inherited by the majority of the main fighter series VFs thereafter, and acquired an even more advanced defensive capability by being used jointly with the Pinpoint Barrier.

Caption: The rate that the VFs were shot in shooting battles at close range also declined due to the shield (pictured is the VF-19S Excalibur).

Right: The additional armour of the VF-25 Super Parts on the shield.

Related Matter: Armoured Canopies
While covering the cockpit, which is the most important part, the canopy is the weakest part. Some aircraft use a non-permeable type armoured canopy to improve their bullet resistance. Even though the "APS-25A/P-011" -with armour parts for the nose of the aircraft- was prepared for the VF-25, they weren't equipped with it due to a degradation in visibility and the ability to escape from the aircraft.

Caption: The VF-27, which is handled by pilots who have been turned into cyborgs, was easily made with an armoured canopy, as external fields of vision were obtained by the sensors.

Right: Fz-109 Erugaazorun
The armoured canopy style main VF of the Varohta Forces. Turning the canopies into armour was consistent in the Varohta Forces, and it was also adopted by the Az-130 and FBz-99G.

Related Matter: Armoured Packs For Forms Other Than The Battroid Form
Even though the Armoured Pack has a strong image of it being equipment only for Battroid form, it's said that in addition to the ones for the VF-25 and the VF-171EX, Armoured Packs that are used in forms other than Battroid exist. In fact, the one for the GERWALK form of the VF-1 is named "Armoured GERWALK".

Caption: The Armoured Packs of the VF-25 and VF-171EX support all forms of a VF, and they boast of an advanced operability.

Right: The Giant Beam Gun on the back is the characteristic Armoured GERWALK. It is considered to be unable to transform if the pack isn't removed.
