#15 Macross Is Ordered To Leave Beyond The Earth (M)
The Macross continues to search for a destination that will accept the civilians inside the ship. However, without having found a receiving destination, the Unified Forces officially issue the orders that the Macross is to sortie away from the Earth. In reality, one of the meanings of this order is for the Macross to depart from the Earth.

Extra Report: Kakizaki Hayao's Death In Action: The Version That Was Circulated Differs From Historical Fact
Second Lieutenant Kakizaki Hayao died in action when the Macross's barrier ran wild. He appeared in the movie "Do You Remember Love?" as Ichijo Hikaru's colleague. The movie's subject was the First Interstellar War and it was released in February 2031. However, in the movie dramatization Kakizaki is shot and killed in action immediately after he makes fun of Ichijo Hikaru, who is in the middle of communicating their orders. As this movie has a great influence and as Kakizaki was still a nameless character in military history, there are Variable Fighter pilots who believe in the jinx of the movie's content where the pilot who goes alone and makes fun of another person about a woman in an operation, will be shot down without warning.

* Translator's notes: originally: "As a result of the movie having great influence and because Kakizaki is a nameless character in the military annals, the contents of the movie stand on their own. Even now, there are Variable Fighter pilots that believe in the jinx where the person who ridicules another about a woman in the middle of the battle, will suddenly be shot down.", which was originally "the jinx that the juniors who ridicule their seniors are, without fail, killed in action." that was indicated as an error in the original edition.

2009.12:
The Macross is given orders from the Earth Unified Forces Command Headquarters to sortie beyond Earth's orbit.
