The Revival Of The Devastated Earth Makes Progress
The battle between the Earth Unified Space Forces and the Bodoru Main Fleet that took place on Nov. 2, 2010, ended in the form of a narrow victory for the Unified Space Forces. The Earth and the Macross, which used Lynn Minmei's singing voice as a weapon, with the cooperation of the Buritai Adokurasu Fleet, that was roused by her voice, reined in the Interstellar War. However, that didn't end the disturbances. Even though most of the Bodoru Fleet withdrew, as they had lost their flagship, about 2,000 Zentraadi ships that had lost their cruising abilities fell in various places on the Earth (the surviving previously mentioned Buritai Fleet was less than 100 ships). Furious ground battles unfolded between the [surviving Bodoru Fleet forces] and the Macross = Buritai allied forces. The battles that last as much as a month, were ended by PR operations that "imparted cultural life is wonderful, and encouraged peace", which was executed through the Buritai Fleet. Despite an over-sized sacrifice having been paid, the Earth regains peace once more (at this point, the population of Earthlings is several million, and the Zentraadi survivors were 8 million).
After that, the New Unified Government was established in May, 2010 (the chief executive was Bruno J. Global). The reconstruction plan, which played a central role in the government, was advanced. Even though the matters imposed on the New Unified Government were huge - such as rehabilitating the devastated natural environment and culture, and defending the Earth from external enemies, all in addition to the coexistence of Earthlings and Zentraadi - there was zeal in the people who desired reconstruction, and the plan slowly progressed. About 2 years after the end of the war, greenery was being restored on the surface of the Earth little by little. Also, 70% of the Zentraadi received Miclone-ization treatment, and they came so far as to lead a cultural life.

Hikaru Is Transferred To A Patrol Unit
The New Unified Government, which is vigilant toward the arrival of a new main fleet, started work on rearmament. Ichijo Hikaru participated in the new Variable Fighter project, and demonstrated ability as a test pilot. However, he was selected for a patrol unit, in order to strengthen the maintenance of public order, and he came to be transferred to Macross City, after Solar System patrol missions, which were based at the Apollo Base on the Moon's surface. Misa Hayase, his superior officer and lover, who once shared in life and death, worked in the city, and hoped for the transfer. However, the two people who were worked to death by their duties, repeatedly denied that, and in those days, they started to lose their tremulous excitement for each other.
