The New Unified Government, which aimed at coexisting with the Zentraadi, promoted the micronization of the giants and a cultural life. However, some of the Zentraadi couldn't adapt themselves to the quiet life, and they rebelled against the New Unified Government's policies. Zentraadi all they way to the people who organized armed groups and carried out acts of rebellion appeared, and they were the cause of new disturbances.

The Hostage Rescue Operation Is Started By The Unified Forces
The hostage rescue operation started at last. They adopted the two-step operation plan using decoy and rescue units, which was according to Hikaru's opinion.* To start with, the group of Zentraadi that cooperated with the Unified Forces sent phony rescue transmissions to Kamujin. Kamujin and others, who successfully fell for the phony transmissions, sortied from the hall to rescue their comrades. During that opportunity, Hikaru and others rushed into stronghold, whose defences had become undermanned, and successfully rescued Minmei and others. On the other hand, after the battle, the forces that performed the ambush drove Kamujin and his comrades to withdraw.

The Zentraadi who experienced culture by coexisting with Earthlings, appear to have forgotten fighting and led quiet lives. However, that means that the power of culture, which put an end to the interstellar war, is weakening, and that was shown in culture's gradual loss of power in suppressing the Zentraadi dissidents.

Caption: Minmei's songs were a symbol of culture, and they became the force that facilitated the coexistence of Earthlings and the giants.

Caption: On the other hand, the force of culture was powerless toward Kamujin, as he was able to kiss Rapu Ramizu.
