Extra Report: The Pineapple Cake - Ozuma's Home Cooking
Cathy once taught Ozuma how to make a pineapple cake. That cake is the dessert that connects Ozuma with Ranka. Even though Ranka, who was given shelter as a survivor of the 117th Investigation Fleet, faced a new life as Ozuma's younger sister, she closed up her mind from the impact of the event. The pineapple cake that was made by Ozuma appears to have restored a smiling face to such a Ranka. Ozuma's prediction was effective, and the pineapple cake became the bond between the two after that.

Extra Report: The Relationship Between Michael And Kuran
Even though the comrades Michael and Kuran were childhood friends who usually didn't stop quarrelling, they were actually bound with a strong bond. The thing that symbolized their bond was Michael's glasses. After Michael's death in action, Kuran carefully handled those glasses as a pendant on a chain, and always carried it with her when she proceeded to the battlefield. She may have done that to try to cover the blank space a little bit after Michael died.

Caption: As Michael's remains were thrown into outer space, only his glasses were recovered as a memento.

Caption: Even when she is transformed into a giant, Kuran didn't part from Michael's glasses, and faced the battle.
