Extra Report: The VF-171EX And Its Enhancement Equipment
The New Unified Forces, whose combat capabilities deteriorated with the alienation of S.M.S., deployed new Anti-Vajra equipment, with the cooperation of the L.A.I. Co.. Among them, the VF-171, which is the New Unified Forces main VF, was drastically improved, and was given enhancements in which Option Equipment, which was loaded with MDE warheads, played a central role. Extra Report: The Possibility Of A Zero Time Network
Birla, who paid attention to the Vajra characteristic of mutually exchanging information by making good use of Fold Waves, recognized the possibility of a communication and transportation system where time lag wasn't caused by distance. Thus, he discovered that his purpose in life was the construction of a Zero Time Network, which could disregard even the Fold Faults that obstructed mankind's galactic advance. However, Grace (and her sect), who he sought cooperation with to investigate the network, had her expectations, and that became the primary factor in the chain of confusion.

Caption: The V-type Virus that lives in the Vajra's intestines. The Fold Waves that they emit amount to the basis of the Vajra's information transmission.
