#02 The Love Song That Reverberates In The Giants
Ichijo Hikaru and Hayase Misa, who escaped from the enemy ship, discover the City Spaceship of the Protoculture space civilization on the devastated Earth, and understand the roots of the human race and the giants. And then, in the midst of the life or death of mankind, the songs of Lynn Minmei resound aimed at the giants who don't know culture.*

Related Matter: The Speculation Of The Zentraadi Forces
Even though the Zentraadi Forces challenge the Macross with relentless attacks, their aim wasn't the destruction of the Macross, but to gather information. In addition to such things as some of the soldiers who had come into contact with the Macross falling into a state where they were not able to fight, they collected My-clone sized articles from the Macross; and when compared to existing enemies, there were very many baffling points about the Macross. The Zentraadi Forces seem to have implemented reconnaissance-in-force for those reasons.

Caption: The articles collected from the Macross differed from Meltrandi ones, and the Zentraadi rushed to gather even more information.

Caption: The soldiers who participated in the reconnaissance-in-force, couldn't help but be astonished at the appearance of men coexisting with women within the Macross.

Related Matter: The Protoculture
A space civilization that was proud of its excellent genetic engineering. They reached the point that the descendants they left behind were both genders, and the male only Zentraadi and the female only Meltrandi split, and began to war. Even though they had been made into giants at that time, their war vehemently increased. Some of the Protoculture -who noticed the mistake- returned to having men and women living together; and they escaped to Earth in a City Spaceship. It's said that they manipulated the genes of the primitive creatures on Earth, and made Earth's mankind.

Caption: Hikaru and Misa knew that the Protoculture weren't only giants, and that Earthlings are also the result of genetic manipulation by the Protoculture.

Caption: It seems that it was transmitted to the Zentraadi that the Protoculture are My-clones who have culture.
