#01 The Mardūk Invasion And Peace
There has been 80 years of coexistence between the Zentrādi and Earth's mankind. The long peace has led to the decay of the armed forces. At such a time, the alien Mardūk start to invade the Earth. Reporter Hibiki Kanzaki, who heads out to cover the invasion, meets the enemy's Song Shrine Maiden Ishtar.

Related Matter: Operation Minmei
A tactic of the Unified Forces. It is a systemization of the former Minmei Attack, where songs confused the Zentrādi—who don't know culture—and the combat capability difference was overturned, and the Unified Forces triumphed. As a result, Operation Minmei came to be able to easily repulse the Zentrādi Fleets that uncommonly came. In addition, the peace for 80 years has brought about decay in the Unified Forces.

Related Matter: The Mardūk Social Structure
The Mardūk are laid out in a pyramidal social order, with the leader Ingusu at the top. The actual circumstance is that it is Ingusu's dictatorship, and he has built a system of government due to his power to purge the people who voice a different opinion to him. The social class-like ranks seem to have the Emulators and the Psalm Mothers who lead them placed under Ingusu, and the Mardūk soldiers placed next.
