As a matter of fact, the Anti Unification Alliance was dismantled because of the end of the Unification War, and because the First Interstellar War broke out immediately following the Unification War, anti Unified Government activities temporarily ended. However, after the First Interstellar War, in addition to the outbreak of revolts by discontent Zentraadi, after the Mankind Sowing Plan started, the New Unified Government was afflicted by anti Unified Government actions carried out by terrorist organizations as well as emigrant fleets and corporations.

Extra Report: The Military Businesses Affiliated with the Anti Unification Alliance
If one were to speak of the Anti Unification Alliance, than the image of the formerly East Side is strong, such as Russia and the Warsaw Pact organization, and there were a lot of Russian armaments used by the alliance, with aircraft playing a leading role among them. However, the participation of corporations from formerly West Side and formerly pro-American nations in the Anti Unification Alliance's arms development was proof that the world reorganization that accompanied the fall of the ASS-1 was something that went beyond the traditional framework of the world.

Caption: Russian enterprises stand out in the development and production of the SV-51, such as Sukhoi, Aviadvigatel and Tsuropov.

Caption: Israel Aircraft Industry, Dornier and so on also took part in the development of the SV-51.

Caption: The amphibious armament Octos was jointly developed by Daimler Hyper Space Co. and the Rubin Central Science Bureau for Marine Engineering.

The Establishment of the Anti Unification Alliance
In December 2000, the Unified Government Ideology that was announced by the United Nations was something that would consolidate the organization of the Earth's nations and establish the Earth Unified Government in preparation for an alien invasion. In January 2001, the group of nations that opposed the ideology formed the Anti Unification Alliance.

Caption: The formation of the Anti Unification Alliance was triggered by such things as the conflict for the leadership of the consolidated Earth, bargaining over the distribution of OTM, and ideological and religious problems.

Anti Unification Alliance Personnel
Similar to the Earth Unified Government, which had the Unified Forces, the Anti Unification Alliance also has an armed force. Though many of the officers and men are military personnel from the countries that compose the Anti Unification Alliance, some of them are rebells from the Unified Forces or were originally ordinary people that held a grudge toward the Unified Forces.

Caption: Officers and men who fought in the Unification War and held a grudge toward the Unified Government or Unified Forces, had advanced skills and high morale.

Left: D.D. Ivanov worked as the chief test pilot of the prototype VF for the Unified Forces, and later participated in the Anti Unification Alliance. He was the owner of prominent piloting skills.

Right: Hassan, a veteran soldier who participated in landing operations in the Bird Man incident. His innumerable scars indicate his combat experience.

Anti Unification Alliance Equipment
The Anti Unification Alliance didn't only use the existing armaments of the formerly East Side, but also improved their fighting capabilities with OTM installed armaments, such as VFs and Destroids. The VF was implemented particularly faster than the Unified Forces, and even its performance side and degree of perfection surpassed that of the Unified Forces VF.

Right: Variable Fighter
The SV-51, a VF from the earliest period. Although the engines are existing models, it has a transformation mechanism and energy conversion armour.

Left: Aircraft
The MiG-29 fighter from before the fall of the ASS-1. The MiG-29 bore the burden of the main fighter of the Anti Unification Alliance because there was only a small absolute number of VFs in the war.

Caption: Arms development wasn't only on new weapons, such as VFs and Destroids, but it also happened to traditional categories of armaments. Such craft as the Karyobin were also implemented during the Unification War.

Up: Military Vessels
The improved missile carrying nuclear submarine Auerstedt. It was used as the mother ship of VFs and Destroids in the war.

Right: Destroids
The Variable Amphibious craft Octos. In addition to it, a great number of armaments that correspond to Destroids are thought to have also existed.

The Incidents that the Anti Unification Alliance Took Part In
The Anti Unification Alliance took part in various incidents that occurred during the Unification War. Although many of them were attacks on Unified Forces military targets, civilians were also swallowed up by them.

The Bird Man Incident
The event in the closing period of the Unification War where the Anti Unification Alliance attacked the Unified Forces that were recovering the "Bird Man", a Protoculture relic, from off the coast of the Mayan Island in the South Pacific. The contingent suffered devastating damage during the attack.

Caption: The Unified Forces and the Anti Unification Alliance clashed over the Bird Man. VFs and Destroids were committed to the clash and damage also happened to Mayan Island.

The South Ataria Island Defensive Battle
In three incidents, in July 2002, January 2005 and May 2006, the Anti Unification Alliance attacked South Ataria Island where the SDF-1 Macross was in the midst of restoration.

The Grand Cannon II Bombing Incident
An incident in November 2005, where the Anti Unification Alliance carried out an attack against the Grand Cannon II, which was under construction in Australia, and blew it up.

The Returning Ship Sinking Incident
The incident where the Anti Unification Alliance sunk the Unified Forces space boat that was returning from Mars Sera Base. It turns out that there are only a few cases were the Anti Unification Alliance mobilized an operation in space.
