Public Facilities
The residential areas, which were developed from the refugee camp in the Macross warship, restored the everyday life of the people, together with enhancing the urban functions of the areas. In particular, various public facilities were built, which amounted to places for the amusement and stress reduction of the residents. These facilities were proof of the vigorous vitality of the Macross citizens, who stubbornly lived even though they were involved in the war, and came to bring a slight relief to their lives.*

*Translator's note: originally was: "~ involved in the war, and became the foundation of their lives".

Related Matter: The Valkyrie Simulation Game
At the time, the game, "Battroid Attack", which used the Valkyrie as its motif, won popularity in the video arcades of the residential areas. This action-shooting game, where the player operates the Valkyrie and battles such things as the Rigaado, could also be played as a versus game. Also, its thought that one of the reasons why the game was popular was that players were able to exchange the coins for prizes - the coins were received in proportion to the score (its said that Miria Farina, who had infiltrated the Macross, made a living from the coins).

Caption: Maximillian Jiinasu also became acquainted with Miria, as he started to pay attention to the woman who played this game.

Caption: In the versus play, each player operates their own Valkyrie and carries out the dogfight. If the level of the game goes up, it changes from 2D to 3D.

Right: Housing
The housing imitates the real machine, and the monitor is combined with a 3D projector.

Extra Report: The General Areas When Transformed
The Macross had the evil practice where the ship facilities completely changed when it transformed. For that reason, the warship's residential areas were greatly damaged in the first transformation. That had an influence on such things as the later dividing of each section into parts, which attempted to better deal with the transformation. Also, cases were seen here and there where citizens who couldn't find shelter were left behind or were swallowed up by the movement of the modules during the transformation.
