As the famous new model VF development project that advanced at New Edward Base, the objective of the AVF's (Next All-Regime Fighter Aircraft) was to select the successor of the VF-11, and was carried out between the rival Shinsei Industry YF-19 and General Galaxy YF-21 prototypes. Although the project was suspended due to the completion of the Ghost X-9, the project was restarted as it became impossible to wipe out the distrust in unmanned aircraft because of the "Sharon Apple Insident*".

Caption: As a result of the review, the YF-19 was elected as the AVF (the regulated style craft is the VF-19). However, due to cost and controllability problems, its production number wasn't that large.
