Pg 42

Vajra
The enigmatic space creature, who's existence was confirmed for the first time 19 years ago, attacked the Macross Frontier Fleet, which was approaching the central part of the galaxy. The swarm of Vajra, with which each one could individually fold, systematically attacked the Macross Frontier Fleet. The organ that corresponds to the brain hardly exists in the Vajra, and it is uncertain whether they have intelligence.

New type of Vajra - chest closeup
The chest is covered in an amber-like material. Its possible to put living captured prey inside it.

New type of Vajra - head closeup
It features a protuberance with a keen sense of touch. Even though it looks like an insect head, a brain hardly exists inside of it.

New type of Vajra - overall view
It has scythes similar to a preying mantis, and it brings enemies captured by its independent action back to the nest. Because they are absolutely few in number, it seems to be difficult to witness this new type of Vajra. Captured enemies are imprisoned inside it's chest. It has a room there that is covered by an amber-like material.

Vajra Battleship type
An extra-large Vajra. Apparently, it isn't a single Vajra, but seems to be a colony of a great number of individuals that are assembled together. Even though it can't be confirmed by eyesight, a thick fold barrier stretches around it, and it's impossible even for a Macross Cannon to destroy it.

Vajra Destroyer Type
A Vajra that guards the Vajra Battleship type. Although it is about one-tenth the size of the Vajra Battleship type, it has the ability to fold on its own, and can form a powerful fold barrier. Dozens of Destroyer types surround a single Battleship type.
