BACKGROUND
The Beatrice is an eight-wheel wheeled armored vehicle "combat - reconnaissance vehicle" adopted by the Macross frontier fleet, equipped with a 105 mm rapid fire cannon. Though it's shell resistance is low, it is a light 17-18t vehicle, and demonstrates a road speed of 80-100 kmph, with a 350 horsepower hydrogen gas turbine engine. Because of the mobility and fire power that the Beatrice has, it can be considered as making use [taking advantage] of the Destroid's situation control.
The Beatrice has the advantage as it's high fire power can be promptly deployed due to it's narrow width, unlike the Destroid whose great width blocks it from double-laned roads. Even though the Beatrice seems to have been made as a lightweight yet excelling in firepower, rapid deployment fighting vehicle, it was quite powerless against the Vajra.
The Beatrice is equipped with an oxygen tank and a purification system, and it's atmospheric integrity can be maintained even in the vacuum of space. However, it's defensive [protective] capability is low, and the invading Vajra pulverised it.
The multi-wheeled, armoured Beatrice is an example of one of multi-wheeled vehicles the UN Forces on Macross Frontier has in its possession for high-speed deployment and transportation inside the Island [ships].
Their high speed, mobility, and ability to carry troops or cargo have given them a reputation as a good, sturdy scout vehicle on planets being explored, or recently colonized. They can also be deployed as crowd control (machinegun bullets changed to rubber).
Unlike many modern armored personnel carriers, the Beatrice is not an amphibious vehicle, but watertight combat hatch seals allow it to ford water up to the tops of its wheels.

- PAYLOAD: 50 rounds.
2. 12.7 mm MACHINE GUN
A 12.7 mm Machine Gun can be fitted to the turret for anti-personnel usage and suppressive fire. During riot control operations, rubber bullets are used (doing 1/10th the damage of a regular bullet).
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Anti-Personnel
- RANGE: 1,000 m
- DAMAGE: 7D6 S.D.C. per round. 5 round burst, single target - 3D6X10 SDC. 10 round burst, single target - 6D6X10 SDC. For bursts greater than 25 rounds, increase the damage by a scale of 6D6X10 SDC per 10 rounds (it is recommended to stick to multiples of 10 when firing for ease of damage resolution) OR refer to the modern weapons rules for machineguns.
The gun pod can be used for sprays: 5 round spray - 7D6 SDC per target, effects 1D4 targets. 10 round burst spray - 7D6 SDC per target, effects 2D4 targets with a 50% chance of hitting bystanders. Longer duration sprays (up to limits of the magazine): 2D6x10 SDC per target, effects 4D4 targets. Chance of hitting bystanders is 70%.
- RATE OF FIRE: Equal to the pilot's combined number of attacks. The machinegun isn't limited to bursts of 5, 10, 25 or 1,000 rounds.
- PAYLOAD: 1,000 rounds. 2 extra boxes of ammo are carried inside the tank. Reloading takes 1 action of an extra box is readily available.
3. 7.62 mm MACHINE GUN
A 7.62 mm Machine Gun can be fitted to the turret for anti-personnel usage and suppressive fire. During riot control operations, rubber bullets are used (doing 1/10th the damage of a regular bullet).
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Anti-Personnel
- RANGE: 1,000 m

- STANDARD SURVIVAL KIT: All UN Spacy vehicles come equipped with a portable survival kit. Inside the small reinforced box is a medium-sized flashlight, two hand flares, one rocket flare, a compass, infrared distancing binoculars, a small mirror, a pocket knife, dehydrated and concentrated food (can be stretched into a five day supply for one person) and basic first aid items (aspirin, bandages, disinfectants, etc.).
- UNIVERSAL DIRECTION FINDER SYSTEM: The Tank is fitted with a Universal Direction Finder Navigation system for navigation and location mapping.
- VARIABLE TIRE PRESSURE: The vehicle can alter the pressure in all eight tires to suit terrain conditions: highway, cross-country, mud/sand/snow, and emergency. The system warns the driver if the vehicle exceeds the recommended speed for its tire pressure, then automatically inflates the tires to the next higher pressure setting. The system can also warn the driver of a flat tire, although the Beatrice is equipped with run-flat tire inserts that also serve as bead-locks, allowing the vehicle to move several miles before the tire completely deteriorates. Also, the tires are non-flammable
- 8X4 and 8X8 DRIVE: a pneumatic system switches between 8X4 and 8X8 drive.
