Architect Skill Program

The enormous and wonderful buildings in such places as Macross City require the skills of architects, who can translate an idea into a blueprint, and work with that to make it real—detailing construction materials, support points, and everything else required to know how to make a building. With OTEC, architects have been able to make larger, more robust buildings, and are also able to make them more beautiful than the previous generations of architects have been able to do.

Coroner Skill Program

Coroners train the same as regular doctors. However, they specialize in dealing with the dead to determine the cause of death. A coroner is usually involved in a lot of the investigation into how a person died. The police quite commonly rely on the information a coroner discovers during an autopsy, to assist them in tracking a killer or providing evidence to convict a criminal.

Advanced Designer (Aircraft, Destroid & VF, or Spacecraft) Skill Program

Aircraft, Destroid & VF designers are trained in the art of designing aircraft, and are able to create new, better, and faster aircraft. It is common for civilian aircraft designers to be trained in aircraft armour and weaponry, to design new aircraft for companies such as Shinsei Industries or General Galaxy. Spacecraft designers probably have the most intensive and well-paying design job there is. Due to its requirements, only the largest and best universities offer the Spacecraft Design course. Applicants must be able to grasp not only how a spacecraft works, runs, and how to fix it, but also how to build and design the vessel itself. As mankind continues to take its rapidly growing steps into the galaxy, more and more ships of various specifications and requirements are being designed and manufactured. The most lucrative branch of all is to work for the manufacturers of Unified Government spacecraft, mostly due to the opportunity to be on the leading edge of scientific knowledge.

Doctor Skill Program

Doctors train extensively in the field of medicine, to treat the sick and the injured. There are many areas for a doctor to specialize in. They can become a general practitioner, a surgeon, or a specialist (focusing on a specific area, such as pathology, pharmaceutical chemistry, genetics, and so on). If they are exceptionally skilled, the doctor may become a consultant in the future—an expert in one particular field, that other doctors come to for advice.

Lawyer Skill Program

When legal actions (such as notarization, wills, contracts between companies, and so on) are to be undertaken, a lawyer is needed. The average person has only a passable knowledge of law and legal processes. The lawyer, on the other hand, has devoted their life to it. They have in-depth knowledge of law, legal processes, and the research of previous legal cases to be cited as precedents in a court case. Skillful lawyers can make a lot of money, probably the most money out of the private sector careers available.

Veterinarian Skill Program

In addition to the new animals found on habitable planets, there are many animals on Earth—thanks largely to cloning. Veterinarians specialize in animal medicine, and are the animal equivalent of the doctor. The leading edge of veterinarian medicine, the most exciting and the most profitable, is the care of alien livestock. Exciting, due to the new scientific knowledge being created almost daily, and profitable, as humans requires food. Without veterinarians, the food supply would be seriously reduced.
