These C.O.S's are deisgned as generic Occupation Specialities, with some specific ones. It is best to take one of the C.O.S's closest to your desired character and then add skills to get a closer match.

Pilot (Shuttle/Spacecraft) (Min IQ 9, 3 years training. Start age 21).
Highly trained personnel are needed to pilot spaceshuttles and spacecraft as space a very different environment from an atmosphere. Without adequate training a pilot could easily crash their craft, or mis-calculate a fold and appear thousands of lightyears from where they want to be, or even appear to close to a dangerous spacial anomoly. Due care and attention is needed to be a shuttle/spacecraft pilot, be they a cargo shuttle pilot transporting cargo from a planets surface to orbiting space docks, or a space freighter pilot navigating millions of miles of realspace, or thousands of lightyears via hyperspace.

Pimp (No min requirements, no training required. Start age 18+).
Despite the enlightenment of humanity in the 21st Century and the advent of space travel and colonisation the worlds oldest profession, Prostitution, still exists. And because of this there will always be those people who will prey on those men and women who have fallen into prostitution. Pimps are rarely the leopard skin safari suit, cane carrying pimps of the 1970's films of Hollywood. Normally they are dressed business style, (if successful,) or comfortably dressed in jeans and a t-shirt watching their prostitutes or rentboys and ensuring they get their cut of the money. Pimps are normally ruthless and amoral people.

Priests and Priestess can be of many religions, and the near decimation of Earth in 2011 has served to further bolster peoples beliefs in their religions. Some religions have however had to change to accept the existence of aliens but mostly they are the same know as they were before the end of the 20th century. Most priests and priestess' are trained in the theology and their religion in particular as well as being able to speak to crowds of people about it as well. However a Priest/Priestess is commonly also a confidante, someone to talk to about problems and a place to seek answers to lifes little problems, so most religions agents have some minor training in grief counselling, and psychology.

Psychic/Fortune Teller (Min IQ 8, 6 months training. Start age ANY).
Psychics and Fortune tellers are seen by many as a fun diversion, but for others, especially those of certain cultures Psychics, Fortune Tellers, Witch Doctors, Witches and Brujah's skills are an essential part of their cultural history and beliefs. People will sometimes run their entire lives and careers by what the local Fortune Teller tells them. Others will seek out a Witch or Brujah to do a cleansing spell on them to keep negative energies (AKA the Evil Eye.) Most psychics and fortune tellers have no real psychic powers but have a true belief that what they are doing is real. Others are charlatans and con-men looking to fleece people for everything they can get. A very very small minority of people have some form of gift, be it esp, the ability to see glimpses of the future, or something else in some small way. most true psychics work for free and ask for nothing in return. However locals will normally thank them by doing services for them, (weeding the garden, painting their house,) or giving them food, (something special like Grandma's secret recipe Lasagna, as opposed to cans of food.)
NOTE: True psychics makeup some 1% of the 'psychic' population. Roll a D100 or ask your GM very nicely (powers will be minor though

Spacecraft Captains must undergo training in how to pilot the space going craft first of all, and generally pick up the engineering skills as they go. Although it is possible for a spacecraft captain to be in their early twenties, it is much more likely that they will be at least a decade older and in their 30's.

Great novels, tv programmes, films and even adverts and radio jingles don't write themselves. They require imaginative and articulate people to write them, and to place them down on paper or print in a manner that allows anyone reading it to visualise what the author was thinking of when they wrote it. Some writers create masterpieces that are remembered by everyone, (William Shakespeare,) whereas others will only be known to people in their particular field (advertising, and radio adverts.) One area of writing that most authors also specialise in is research. Research is essential for authors to allow them to write accurately and informitively on the subject they are writing.

Basically a player can choose any skills BUT the GM must agree that it fits with the characters background, so any civilian choosing Military or Espionage skills should have an EXCELLENT reason why they have them. A Boat Pilot who chooses fishing as a skill can easily explain that he/she fishes off the side of their boat in their spare time. Ultimately it is the GM's decision.
