In General...

The following is generally true irregardless of the era. Included below are some basic items with prices to serve as a guideline. Generally, in-game prices are consistent with the real world prices at the time that you are playing your game.
For eras after 2009 (when the Macross world begins to substantially differ from the real world), computers and other electronic devices generally have 10% to 15%* greater performance than the equivalent in the real world at the moment you are running your game.
* 20% to 25% for games set after 2055.

    • provides directional data (best results when triangualted with another Cyclops Sensor.

    A special sensor used to observe the PCS reaction of the Aphos. It was also used by Edgar LaSalle, who accompanied Aries as her escort during the survey of Mayan Island. Custom-made equipment. Only a handful were ever produced. If any survived the First Interstellar War, they would be in a museum.
    Why you want it: a priceless pre-Space War treasure—during the period when information on the Mayan Island incident was still classified, this could serve as the MacGuffin that individuals or agencies seek as proof of that incident.

    • walks while singing.

    SDFM ver.: The Minmei mascot doll was manufactured and sold on board the[Macross] ship shortly after Minmei's debut. The doll had an electronic gimmick that made it sing and walk, and it was very popular mainly among children. DYRL ver: A popular item at the time. The figure incorporates the songs "My Boyfriend's a Pilot" and "0-G Love", and has a built-in gimmick that makes it move while singing.
    Why you want it: a priceless Space War 1 item. Some even claim it was what ended the war!

    Micro-video Camera

    A very thin, ultra-compact video camera. Records video, still pictures, and audio.
    Why you want it: pocket sized, convenient, and records a lot of video, and a lot more pictures.

    Nocto-video Binoculars
    • Range: 6 km

    It can see well in the dark, and has a video mechanism. A high-powered optical enhancement device with noctovision (infared), video capabilities, cross-hair indicator lines, and a digital readout of estimated distance. The binoculars can also record video and still images.
    Why you want it: see farther than all other binoculars on the market—in addition to seeing at night! Also takes digital pictures AND looks like the monitor turret of the VF-1J!

    The Flower Girl is a regular at Fire Bomber live performances who usually listens to Fire Bomber song on her mini audio system. She was later scouted and is a DJ for Midnight Macross Jockey. A compact, portable radio, cassette and CD player stereo system.
    Why you want it: compact, portable, with decent sound. With this, you can emulate Fire Bomber's greatest fan!

    When Vihīda is out and about, she often carries a large component stereo. Even though it is ordinarily a non-portable model, she carries it with the amp and speakers tied together.

    The music player carried by Freyja. When the earphones are attached, they will pop-out when they are pressed. There is a light strip on the bottom side of the earphones. Press and hold the earphones to inflate the earbuds. Operation: left button: press once = stop, press twice = reverse track. Right button: press once = play, press twice = next track. Both buttons: press to pause. Button battery in back [under protective cover].
    Why you want it: small, convenient, holds thousands of albums and has a super-long lasting battery.
