Zentrādi Equipment (suits & guns) |
Zentrādi Foot Soldiers In The Unified Forces
Full size Zentrādi within the Unified Forces still wear their traditional Zentrādi Armour, with only the slight cosmetic difference of the Zentrādi badge being replaced with that of the Unified Forces symbol. This armour is worn by both Zentrādi Mobile Weapon pilots, and full size ground soldiers.
Zentrādi soldiers still use their standard issue Zentrādi Laser Pistol. However, instead of the standard Zentrādi rifle, they use the standard Variable Fighter Gunpod for that era. As of 2045, Zentrādi/Unified Forces Soldiers are using the VF-11C's Gunpod.
Zentrādi Armoured Spacesuit
The commander model that was mainly used in hand-to-hand combat in the armoured corps. The 6th kind was prepared under the supposition that it would be worn during times of great combat where there was the possibility of being shot. The 2-1 kind is a somewhat lightweight type for the crew of the Battle Pods. - Macross Perfect Memory Pg 133
The entire body is covered by a protector [suit]. A face guard is attached to the helmet, and has a style that gives one an impression of the European knights from the Middle Ages.
What is carried on the back is a life-support system.
The helmet guard flips up. - TIA: Macross First Vol. Pg 69
When going into combat, Zentrādi Mobile Weapon pilots will usually opt for the bulkier Heavy Armour, due to the added protection it gives them; in addition to the armour of their Mobile Weapon. The Heavy Armour's helmet has a pull down section to protect the vulnerable face plate from damage - something that is vital in the vacuum of space.
When on the ground, they can use a large shield, which is about 15 m (50 ft) tall, and closely resembles a Roman Legionnaires shield.

An ordinary spacesuit. It isn't used in combat. - TIA: Macross First Vol. Pg. 69
After the Stellar Empire Spliting War, it was one of the standard spacesuits that was generally worn the most. The eighth kind is soldier's equipment for the crew of space military vessels during hostilities. The 3-7 kind was mainly worn by the operators in the gun turrets. (from Mr. Miyatake's setting) - Macross Perfect Memory Pg 133
The Light Armour is the armour variant most commonly worn by Zentrādi Mobile Weapons pilots in their vehicles and on board ships. It is a light armour designed for minimal protection and allowing maximum flexibility.
When on the ground, they can use a large shield, which is about 15 m (50 ft) tall, and closely resembles a Roman Legionnaires shield.

For S.M.S. Pixie Squadron
Worn by the female members of Pixy Squadron, who were the Quadoran-Rea Squadron in S.M.S.. The spacesuit is a bodysuit type, probably to make sure that it didn't hinder the control of the Quadoran battlesuit.*
* Translator's note: originally was: "The spacesuit is a bodysuit type, probably to not hinder the control of the Quadoran battlesuit".
Caption: Even though it was an underclothes-like suit for the battlesuits, it was also able to be used as a spacesuit on its own.
