Background
The 3,000 m long Kirutora Keruēru large battleship is categorized as a planet-landing assault ship and is presumed to be used in invading enemy positions and deploying military personnel and weapons into battle. The ship features strong armour and a durability that is higher than that of the other warships, and can withstand a few enemy bombardments. The Kirutora Keruēru has a wide operational range, as it also has the role of transporting goods to the front and so on. Compared to other Zentrādi warships, the Kirutora Keruēru's firepower has been limited due to the ship being constructed in a way that values durability. Several armaments are installed in the lower part of the ship, and the ship is able to make attacks against enemies in the front. A concentration of thruster nozzles are in the rear. In the top part of the rear are ship-borne craft launch ports for such vehicles as the Large Landing Pod.
"Kirutora Keruēru 765,346" belonged to the Buritai Fleet, and was mainly engaged in direct-defence missions—securing the flanks of the flagship. However, it was mainly operated as an "aircraft carrier". Thus, because it was a direct-defence ship, it deployed elite Battle Pod Units composed only of Fighter Pods and Powered Suits. In addition, it also carried medium-sized [Heavy Attacker] Cannon Pods and [Kerukaria] Recon Pods. Even though the ship was damaged, it survived the great war. The ship was refurbished and served in active duty until the 2030's in the Unified Forces. The ship was later sold off as surplus, and is currently leading a third life as an armed merchantman by a private military provider.
As more than half of Kirutora Keruēru's interior is storage and stowage compartments, it is suitable for carrying various types of Mobile Weapons and supply materials. The ship is mainly used as the mothership for assault drop operations on planets. However, the Landing Assault Ship's extraordinary robustness and great carrying capacity have given it a variety of other uses. Many of the Kirutora Keruēru function as "aircraft carriers" during fleet battles. Since the ship has more than double the capacity of the Standard Battleship, it is able to operate a substantial number of Battle Pods. Furthermore, since Kirutora Keruēru is more robust than the Standard Battleship, it is a very effective supply base for Battle Pods. Because of that, the Kirutora Keruēru were often operated at the core of a fleet. Conversely, as the Kirutora Keruēru are extremely robust, ships with degraded functions due to damage are used as "shields" in a fleet, and they are very effective even in this capacity. In addition, while the supply of a fleet could be carried out by automated transport ships, there are situations where that alone would be insufficient. The Kirutora Keruēru are often used to supply the Mobile Fortresses—which double as an armoury for the replenishment of supplies in a flagship fleet—and the fleets that are deployed far away from the Mobile Fortress itself. In other words, the Kirutora Keruēru is an amphibious assault ship, an aircraft carrier, and a large transport ship. For these reasons, there are situations where a fleet may request the deployment of a reduced proportion of Standard Battleships and a larger portion of Kirutora Keruēru. There aren't many armament factories that build the Kirutora Keruēru. However, since it is robust and lasts a long time—this class has a life span of 10,000 cycles or more on average—a considerable number are active in each fleet due to being accumulated over many years.

  • Modified Ships In The Unified Forces

After the remnants of the Bodoru Main Fleet were incorporated into the Unified Space Forces, this ship became a common sight to Earthlings. Most incorporated vessels have been modified so that humans can serve alongside the giant Zentrādi crew, although many ships remain in their original—giants only—state. All Mobile Weapon hangars and Zentrādi sections on modified ships have human-size catwalks at half-height running along the walls. Although its exterior appearance has not changed much, the Zentrādi carrier's interior was redesigned to accomodate human-size crew personnel, especially levels 2, 3, and 4. This was necessary in order to provide the usual comfort human beings (and micronized Zentrādi) have been used to on Earth. Original-size Zentrādi have much more luxurious living quarters than before. All these changes left much less room for Mobile Weapons compared to the old version. The armour has been reinforced and although the heavy armament stayed the same, the anti-Mobile Weapon armament have also been reinforced. The Zentrādi carrier usually serves as a flagship for small patrol/intervention fleets. The "Kirutora Keruēru class" can carry a large payload and has a large amount of space within the hull. In the early days of the New Unified Government, there was nothing to carry within the ship's bulk because the scale of society and the entirety of the population was small. So, the Kirutora Keruēru class was used as bases in semi-fixed positions in space—some of these vessels are still being used even now as bases, with various extensions and modifications having been applied to them. Many of the original Kirutora Keruēru have been reincarnated as quite ordinary large cargo carriers.

    Internal organization (modified ship):

Deck One has been changed into a human-size park. This park is different in every ship of the fleet. It also has 'The Seven Miles High Club'. Deck Two has been changed into a Zentrādi-size park. This park is different in every ship of the fleet.

    NOTES:
    (1) Depleting the MDC will put the Large Missile Launchers and a full third of the ship's offensive batteries out of commission. This handicaps the ship's fighting capabilities.
    (2) Depleting the MDC will put the command bridge and auxiliary command bridge out of commission. It will also shut down all weapon controls, and the majority of the Mobile Weapon launch facilities—rendering the ship flyable, but its weapon systems unable to fire, and its troops unable to scramble except for small batches.
    (3) Depleting the MDC will shut down communications and the engines, setting the ship adrift. Life support, gravity control, and weapons will be severely limited.
    (4) Depleting the MDC of the main engines will force the ship to rely on its auxiliary engine, and will render the Gravity Control System useless due to loss of power. Depleting the MDC of the main engines AND auxiliary engines will leave the ship adrift in space. If in an atmosphere, the ship will crash.
    (5) Not standard. Modified ships ONLY.
    (6) Punches a hole into a specific area of the hull. Note: with the outer hull, the hole will only give access to the weapon turret access corridor (approximately 31 m wide). To gain access to the inside of the ship, one must go through the second hull. The damage control system will automatically seal off any compartments that have been exposed to vacuum.
    (7) Not standard. Modified ships ONLY. See below (Defensive Systems) for details.

    Offensive Systems

    1. Large Guided Converging Beam Gun (2)

The main anti-ship guns. The turrets stand ready to pop-up out from under their sliding hatches to fire. Each turret is capable of 360° rotation with a 180° arc of fire. There is 1 on each side near the front of the hull.

    2. Standard Guided Converging Beam Gun (17)

9 turrets are on the top, 2 turrets are on each side (toward the front), and 4 turrets are on the bottom (toward the rear). The turrets stand ready to pop-up out from under their sliding hatches to fire. Each Turret is capable of 360° rotation with a 180° arc of fire.

    3. Large Anti-Ship Missile Launcher (2)

The main anti-ship missile launchers. The missiles fire out of ports concealed in the front of the ship. They are fixed to fire forwards only. Ships in the Unified Forces are able to launch Reaction Missiles. The anti-ship missiles use the RB-5 Reaction Warhead, whose explosive power is able to be set within the range of 20 and 100 kt. At maximum power, a single missile can incapacitate a Suvāru Saran class ship.

    4. Small Anti-Air Missile Launcher (96)

40 turrets are on the top, 25 turrets are on each side, and 6 turrets are on the bottom (in the mid-section). The turrets stand ready to pop-up out from under their sliding hatches to fire. Each Turret is capable of 360° rotation with a 180° arc of fire.

    5. Anti-Air Beam Guns (128)

Evenly distributed over the hull. These CIWS (Close in Weapons Systems) can either be computer or manually controlled, and do not suffer the negative modifiers to hitting attacking Mobile Weapons that larger starship based weapons do. They are intended primarily for anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, but can do moderate damage against smaller enemy spacecraft, if they get too close. At most, 4 guns can be directed against a single target at any time. The gun turrets can be set on automatic during combat, during which time they have a +2 to strike due to their advanced tracking systems. The gun turrets' tracking systems will target incoming missiles first, and attacking Mobile Weapons second. Unified Forces modified ships only! Standard ships rely on Mobile Weapons for close-in defence.

    6. Micro-Missile Launchers (32)

Evenly distributed over the hull. These missile launchers can either be computer or manually controlled, and do not suffer the negative modifiers to hit attacking Mobile Weapons that the larger starship based weapons do. They are intended primarily for anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, but can do moderate damage against smaller enemy spacecraft if they get too close. At most, 4 launchers can be directed against a single target at any time. Unified Forces modified ships only! Standard ships rely on Mobile Weapons for close-in defence.

    7. Ship-borne Craft

The ship carries a great number of carrier-borne small Mobile Weapons. The Mobile Weapons are primarily used for both defence and tactical missions. Due to space limitations, there is a bit of either/or with the number of Mobile Weapons that the ship is able to effectively maintain and sortie. For example:
    ✓ 320 Rigādo, 80 Jināru, and 30 Nūjaderu-Gā (430 total)
    ✓ 250 Rigādo, 120 Jināru, and 60 Nūjaderu-Gā (430 total)
    ✗ 320 Rigādo, 120 Jināru, and 60 Nūjaderu-Gā (500 total—not enough room)

    Kirutora Keruēru class Environment Ship
The following stats are conversion notes that detail the changes from the base Kirutora Keruēru stats.

An unarmed version of the Kirutora Keruēru Planetary Assault Landing Ship. The Crystal Armour structure in the upper level makes it easy to identify the Kirutora Keruēru Environment Ships. In the early days of the New Unified Government, there was nothing to carry within the ship's bulk because the scale of society and the entirety of the population was small. However, demand for the Kirutora Keruēru suddenly arose as a companion ship for the Long-range Emigrant Fleets. The core of the early Long-range Emigrant Fleets were the Megaroad class, but due to the small size of human society, there were inevitably many small fleets. As there was a demand for such things as facilities and the fullness of comfort for the emigrants, the Kirutora Keruēru were able to meet the production facilities and social-capital aspects of those demands. Meanwhile, the Kirutora Keruēru were required to carry the same natural environment as the Earth within the emigrant fleets. During the fleet's voyage, this ship would become a place of rest for the emigrants, and at the same time it would transport flora and fauna. In addition, it was also indispensable in transporting readily-available water resources. And when the fleet arrived at a migratable planet, the Kirutora Keruēru would supply the flora and fauna on-site. In accordance with those goals, major renovations were performed to the ships, and they were recommissioned as vessels that carried natural, organic, and water resources. The interior of the renovated ships are mainly divided into an upper and lower layer. The upper layer is an "Environment Section (bio area)" that is hollowed out into a huge space 250 m wide and tall, and 2,350 m long, and has a Crystal Armour structure on the upper surface. A huge water tank, purification section, and organic matter circulation section are installed in the lower layer. The Kirutora Keruēru Environment Ships supported the New Unified Government's space development until the appearance in the 2040's of the gigantic "Environment Ships". Even though the combat capabilities of a Kirutora Keruēru Environment Ship is basically zero, the hangers—which are mainly for liaison and transport craft—can also be used to operate VFs, however only at a basic level. That capability is required for self-defence purposes only, as nature itself has a commercial value, as far as pirates and others are concerned.

"Kirutora Keruēru 6,858,935" was commissioned as the "Shodoshima" in 2018. Its recommissioning was not for accompanying Long Range Emigrant Fleets, but for supplying organic matter to the other Environment Ships in Lunar orbit. However, with the appearance of the 8-km-long Environment Ship in 2039, the Shodoshima's role ended. As the new Environment Ships also accompanied the Emigrant Fleets, this heavy old type was retired. However, as the Shodoshima was too valuable to be decommissioned, it was sold off to the private sector. Thereafter, it transported the Earth's latest organic matter in a fleet headed toward the Galactic Center. Thereafter, the Shodoshima was engaged in the establishment of a frontier planet.
