  • The VF-25 Messiah is developed at Macross Frontier Arsenal based off of data from the YF-24 prototype. S.M.S. begins testing [the VF-25].
  • The development of the VF-27 Lucifer aboard Macross Galaxy based on data from the YF-24 prototype.
• February
  • 19: during an ambassadorial mission to discuss Unified Government joining terms with a rogue Zentraadi fleet, the Macross Frontier's Nuclides squadron are sucked into a battle with the Vajra. The incident is subsequently hidden by the New Unified Forces.
  • 23: the Nuclides quit the New Unified Forces as a group in protest, and join S.M.S..
  • 26: the Galaxy Fleet passes near the Macross Frontier Fleet. Idol Sheryl Nome visits Frontier and gives a press conference. Gaining popularity on the Galaxy Network, the "Galactic Fairy" comes to Macross Frontier as the last stop of her tour.

  • 2: the Frontier Fleet is attacked by, and enters into a conflict with the Vajra. Sheryl's live performance is interrupted by the Vajra attack. Ranka Lee is attack by the Vajra.
    S.M.S. Nuclides squad sorties to save Diamond Squad from the Vajra.
  • 22: Miss Macross Frontier auditions. Ranka Lee secretly applies to "Miss Macross Frontier".

  • 31: Ranka Lee is cast in a minor role in the movie "Bird Man", as "Daughter of Mayan A".
    Filming takes place on Island 3. Because the woman cast as the heroine "Mao" was attacked by a Hydra, Ranka is quickly inserted as a substitute.

  • 3: Ranka Lee films her role on the "Bird Man" movie (her participation is extended through June 21).
  • 27: additional filming for the "Bird Man" movie.
  • 29: filming for the "Bird Man" movie finishes.

  • 6: the "Bird Man" film is released.

  • 2: using the new Super Fold Booster, developed by Luca Angeloni to break through Fold Faults, Michael Blanc brings Ranka Lee to a specially-installed stage at the 33rd Marine Forces' base on Gaul 4.
    Alto Saotome and Ranka Lee make an emergency landing during a flight on Gaul 4, near SDFN-04 Global.
  • 3: Ranka Lee is captured by the Vajra on Gaul 4, and is taken away by a Vajra Semi-Queen.
    Gaul 4 is annihilated by a Dimension Eater Bomb.
    A large group of Vajra attack the Macross Frontier Fleet. Ranka Lee is rescued by Brera Sterne and Alto Saotome during the battle.
  • 6: the "Ranka Attack" Project is authorized by the Executive Office of the President, as a trump card against the Vajra. Grace O'Connor assumes the role of Ranka Lee's new manager. Brera Sterne is assigned to Ranka as a bodyguard.
  • 13: the "Ranka Attack" is used in an experiment on the Vajra with tremendous effect.
  • 15: Ranka Lee's "First Live Revenge!" performance.
  • 17: Ranka Lee is introduced during a Presidential press conference as a symbol of hope. Ranka's popularity is at its peak. The "Ranka Attack" is used by the New Unified forces in a joint operation with S.M.S.. The Vajra approaching Macross Frontier are defeated.
  • 25: the Frontier Fleet celebrates after completing the 7th Ultra Long-range Fold, declaring the day "Aimo Memorial Day". A commemorative ceremony is held with a performance at Mihoshi Academy. Influenced by Ranka's feelings, large numbers of Vajra appear inside the Frontier Fleet, and begin brutal attacks. The Vajra are drawn to Island 3 by Ranka Lee in a strategy by S.M.S. to use a Fold Bomb [on them] . The Vajra and Island 3 are annihilated.
    President Howard Glass is assassinated heading to Battle Frontier. The President's death is falsified by Chief of Staff Leon Mishima, who seizes command and deploys Battle Frontier.
  • 28: Ranka Lee reunites with a grown-up Ai-kun. Ranka and Brera Sterne leave to find the Vajra Homeworld.
• September
  • 2: Grace O'Connor uses Ranka Lee to control the Vajra with their song, and attacks the Macross Frontier Fleet. The New Unified Forces counterattack with Sheryl Nome's song.
    Ranka Lee's awareness is restored through the efforts of S.M.S., Macross Quarter and Alto Saotome, and her strength is revived. Sheryl's strength is encouraged. Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome's "Macross Attack" [on the combined Macross Galaxy and Vajra forces].
    The New Unified Forces, S.M.S. and the Vajra cooperate in a counterattack with Ranka Lee's and Sheryl Nome's duet against Macross Galaxy.
    Macross Galaxy is destroyed.

After the Vajra War

• February:
  • The 50th Anniversary of the First Interstellar War.
• July:
  • VF-25 deployed to the CV-424 Acavus' SVF-188 Fire Stars in the 41st Super Long Range Emigrant Fleet Macross 11's escort air wing.
• August:
  • VF-25 deployed to the CV-464 Unicorn's SVF-255 Samurai Fighters in the 55th Super Long Range Emigrant Fleet Macross Frontier's escort air wing.
• Unspecified
  • One year has passed since the Frontier Fleet's battle with the Vajra, and the galaxy has entered a period of peace.
  • Mylene Flare Jenius continues her solo career.
  • Leon Sakaki, of the Sepheela branch of SMS, arrives at the remote planet of Uroboros as part of a mission, but is forced to crash-land after an encounter with an unidentified craft. [Macross 30]
  • The mission to study Fold Bugs commences with the launching of the 125th Large Research Fleet.
  • Disputes and border skirmishes between the countries on De Moins (Sector M45-3) increase in intensity and frequency. Hereafter, De Moins is considered to be unstable.

• January:
  • VF-25 deployed to the 5th Special Defence Combat Air Wing "Emerald Force" in the 37th Super Long Range Emigration Fleet Macross 7's escort air wing.
• September:
  • 01: Aertheold claims Nora [Sector M45-3] as part of their territory.
  • 02: the colonies in Sector M45-3 are divided.
    CG-420 H. Ito dispatches the Wildcards squadron to investigate a crash site on Nora. PMC SOIT is contracted by the planet's "new" rightful owners, Aertheold, to chase away the New Unified Forces investigation team.
  • 10: the Wildcards are dispatched to the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid [Sector M45-3] to prevent an armed conflict between Aertheold and Bo-yae miners who have discovered rich Fold Quartz seams in its crust. Over the next few days, they make trips between the camps of the two sides as peacemaking diplomats.
  • 16: a giant Fold Quartz is discovered on the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid. The two conflicting camps eventually get into an armed standoff with each other, and just as the shooting starts, the Wildcards intervene and calm things down to a tense standoff.
  • 18: a handful of Unified Forces spaceships arrive at the planetoid. They begin defusing the standoff between Aertheold and Bo-yae.
  • 20: the Wildcards are rotated off of the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid, and reassigned to the Zentraadi sector.
  • 24: The Battle For The Elephant Graveyard Planetoid explodes between Aertheold and Bo-yae with the arrival of their respective reinforcements. The New Unified Forces are unable to restrain either side, and get swallowed up in the conflict.
• October:
  • 05: The Elephant Graveyard Planetoid explodes due to an interaction between Reaction Weapons, Dimension Eater Weapons, and the Fold Quartz in the crust. It causes a net of expanding Fold Faults that spreads throughout the sector.

  • The Macross Valiant, the 46th Long Range Emigrant Fleet, travels in the Perseus Arm of the galaxy near the Sagitarius Arm. ["Lost Children" short story]
    VF-25 deployed to the S.M.S. "Tipsy Bacchus" team, dispatched to planet Megaara.

  • The economy of the 29th Super Long Range Emigrant Fleet Macross 29 (Two-nine) has failed, and it has reached the extremes of distress. Young Viggo Walgria, who leads the radical Zentraadi group "Neo Zentran", realizes that the "non-combat doctrine" policy is an error and one of the causes of the fleet's failure, and declares his candidacy in the next mayoral election. On the other hand, current mayor Serge announces the holding of a "Miss Macross Contest" in order to improve his approval rating. Ash and Sakura, who once studied dance and music with Viggo, became concerned with the Miss Macross Contest, with their respective desires in their hearts... [Macross The Musiculture]

  • VF-25 deployed to the 8th Combat Flight Squadron "Pixies" in the S.M.S. Macross Frontier Branch Macross Quarter Flagship.

  • The net of Fold Faults in Sector M45-3 expanding from the Fold Anomaly after the destruction of the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid reaches its peak intensity.

  • VF-25 deployed to the "Queen's Knights" in the Macross Olympia Fleet Branch Flagship Macross One-Third.

  • The Macross Olympia Fleet is near the Gainos star system. ["Sword Dancers" short story.]
  • The 125th Fleet successfully tracks a Fold Bug, but is unable to capture it with existing technology. Research on new capturing technology commences.

  • The 125th Fleet captures a Fold Bug. Super Fold Quartz discovered in the Fold Bug. Research commences.

• March
  • The net of Fold Faults in Sector M45-3 expanding from the Fold Anomaly after the destruction of the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid have steadily dissipated to a level below that of the ambient Fold Faults prior to the destruction of the planetoid. It leads to the speculation that there is another planetoid laced with Fold Quartz in the Fold Anomaly that was acting in resonance with the Elephant Graveyard Planetoid, causing the high levels of ambient Fold Faults in Sector M45-3.
• April
  • The major colonies in Sector M45-3 begin earnestly searching for a Fold Quartz laced object in the Fold Anomaly - which is now strikingly less massive and disruptive to transport routes in the area. As a result, the tensions between the major colonies in the sector increase.

  • 15: deployment of the experimental Super Dimensional Fold Drive -allowing time and alternate reality travel-, and string oscilation displacement technology -allowing the exploration of time and alternate realities.

  • 18: UNI Major General Yoshimoto reassembles the VIFA-3 Black Wraiths for alternate reality time exploration and manipulation missions.

  • 02: Sheik Yer-bootii discovered altering time for his benefit.
  • 03: Black Wraiths 2 tasked with restoring the timeline. They learn through Zentraadi lore that the 'Janus' is rumoured to allow time travel. An operative transfers to an alternate reality to learn the location of the Janus so as to prevent this reality's timeline from being further altered.
• June
  • 20: VIFA-3 Black Wraiths defeat Sheik Yer-bootii and his Black Samba allies. Initiation of the project to achieve the successful deactivate of the Reality Displacement Field.
• August
  • 20: upon the successful deactivation of the Reality Exclusion Field, the crew of the SDFN-08 are able to contact friends and family in the New Unified Government for the first time in half a year. After promulgating the decree that time travel is forbidden due to the formation of Fold disrupting phenomena, UNI Major General Yoshimoto retires and disappears from public view. However, there are rumours in following years that he's active in monitoring for disruptions in time in a newly formed, blacker-than-black sub-agency of the UNI.
